They say there is a type of unicorns who live in the Himalayan Mountains. Only one must live there, for if there were more you’d be hearing this tale more often. No one has ever seen one; anyone who didn’t live to tell the tale. This type of unicorn, called the K’Tah, only feeds once every full moon. It comes down from the valley where it lives, called the Valley of Bones, and haunted the streets of the villages below. No one has seen this Valley of Bones except supposedly an explorer who flew in by helicopter. He had taken a hi-tech camera to capture his experience. Two weeks later, the person who funded this exploration found a burnt and warped camera laying outside his door. It was the night after a full moon.
When the K’Tah comes to the villages, he seeks out exactly five people varying in age and strength. They say at one village the K’Tah let someone see it without killing him. This is their description of the K’Tah: The K’Tah has a flowing body that never stops changing shape, it white eyes shoot lasers that pass through the toughest of materials, its hooves can flatten a house in seconds, it’s a creature of darkness, its coat a stormy midnight. They say it emits an unearthly scream that paralyzes its target. Once the K’Tah has bitten its target, it is released from paralysis, so the last thing the poor prey sees is the K’tah’s shark-like teeth bearing down. The K’Tah eats everything but the head and two of the bodies to eat in its valley. Each of the heads’ point to a different persons house foreboding who might die next.
Over the past decade, the attacks gradually faded out until the K’Tah no longer left its valley. Some say it has died while others believe it left the Himalayan Mountains altogether in search of new land. Some even claim they woke up one night to the sound of its cries and witnessed it flying over their houses heading to the West, towards Europe.
