"This is boring," I abruptly said , opening my mouth for me to sigh. "Will I ever get a single defeat in this damn game!? Argh!!" I furiously throws the keyboard across the room. The clattering sound of the keyboard was echoing in my room.
A piece of paper dropped from the top of his cabinet. I grinned as I saw the paper falling like a leaf. I stood up and quickly falls to the ground in the tangled mess of wires beneath my gaming chair. While trying to reach the paper on the floor. My frustration quickly grows with each squeak from the chair's wheels.
The room fell silent like a dead radio; the only sound was the steady hum of the computer fan. I took the crumbled paper with a depressed face and teary eyes. I unfolded the crumbled paper with trembling and sweating hands. Fearing of the words written on it.
"Dear Gloom..."
It was a letter—a letter from his ex-girlfriend—given on the day his girlfriend confessed to him. As I re-read the letter, I could not bear the words written on it. With each sentence, I felt a burning sensation on my chest, feeling the sting of regret.
Trembling, I tore up the letter into shreds, the piece fluttering to the floor like confetti. I screamed loudly to drown out the pain. My stomach gnawed, and I felt that I could eat a horse. It's a reminder of my neglected needs. I slowly reached for the switch and fell to the floor due to my weakness.
"Fuck!" My room, which used to be very clean, was now like a garbage dump. Piles of trash towered in every corner, mingling with heaps of dirty laundry. Rats scurried beneath my bed, and bugs skittered across the floor and danced across the room.
My face became even more disappointed when I saw it, but I couldn't do anything. I stood up and looked in the fridge to see if it still had something to eat. My hope was crushed with each empty shell I check. The once-stocked fridge is now empty storage.
"I've run out of stock, shit." With a resigned sigh, I realized that I had no choice but to go out to the convenience store. Hunger drove me forward, and with sluggish steps, I made my way to the door, the weight of the despair heavy on my shoulders.
As I stepped outside, the harsh glare of streetlights assaulted my senses. The cold breeze touching my skin. My hands are trembling from the cold air. "It's so cold! I forgot to bring my jacket." I run like a cheetah to get to the convenience store, but before I could even get there, I suddenly saw a familiar figure up ahead.
My eyes widen, and brows arch up as I sees the familiar figure. "Is that Eri?" My heart stops for a moment, and I can't move an inch. After I checked that it was, in fact, Eri laughing and holding a man's hand that seemed to be her new boyfriend.
There was an old man started shouting at Gloom because a truck was coming to Gloom, but Gloom couldn't hear it because of what he saw.
Eri glazed into my eyes and smiled as she mocked me. I feel like I'm in a void and can't move my damn limbs.
Beep!! Beep!! Beep!!!
I barely registered the blaring of a horn or the screech of tires as a truck rushed towards me. In a flash, it was over.
As consciousness slowly returned to him, I found himself in a haze of unfamiliarity. The soft warmth of blankets enveloped me, and the gentle rhythm of breathing filled my ears. Blinking my eyes open, I realized he was lying in a crib, surrounded by the soft glow of a nightlight.
Confusion clouded his mind as I tried to make sense of the surroundings. Memories of my previous life flooded back: "I died, right?" What is this? Is this a dream?
As I attempted to sit up, I realized, with a start, that I was no longer in my adult body. Panic gripped me as I looked down at my tiny hands and feet, the realization sinking in that I had been reincarnated as a newborn. But before I could dwell on the situation, I heard a soft cooing that drew my attention. I gently turned my head, and my eyes widened in awe as I saw a beautiful girl with striking red hair and mesmerizing blue eyes standing beside my crib. "She is so beautiful." My eyes couldn't believe that she looked like a goddess.
Despite my infantile state, I couldn't help but notice her big future, which seemed to defy gravity even as she leaned over to pick me up.
"Hello there, little one," she said. Her voice is like music to my ears. "Welcome to the world."
Is this my mother? She is so beautiful, damn... Wait world?? A new one?
I gurgled in response, feeling a strange confusion at this new existence. As my mother carry me up in her arms, I caught a glimpse of a man entering the room. So scary, is he my father!?
The man was a striking figure, with a tall, muscular physique and vibrant blue hair that seemed to shimmer in the light. As the man approached the crib, his eyes filled with joy and pride. He reached out to gently touch my cheek, his voice warm and full of affection. "Welcome to the family, little one," he said, his voice tinged with excitement. "Your name is Kael. It means mighty warrior."
Wow, mighty warrior! Wahhh! I can't believe I got reincarnated; I only see this in the animes.
My mother looks filled with happiness, her eyes shining with tears of joy. She hugged her husband tightly, a shinning smile lighting up her face. "Kael," she repeated softly, savoring the sound of my newly given name, "Our little mighty warrior."
[Update every Wednesday] "Even in my second life, the gods will still trip me up!? " Let's look at Gloom's life, even in his reincarnation, the gods are still playing with him.
