Aurora Harper is a cheerful, energetic 14-year-old girl and lives with her mother in the suburbs of Theodora, the largest city on the North Coast. A talented musician, she loves to wow audiences with her piano playing and constantly mesmerises her teacher.
Corbin Wells is a sarcastic, cynical 14-year-old boy and lives with his parents and little brother in the same suburb. In fact, he is Aurora’s next-door neighbour, and is what they like to call “life companions” with her. Equipped with a dry wit, he likes to bring fellow 14-year-olds to tears of laughter and horror to the faces of adults.
In virtually all other respects, these two lovebirds are completely ordinary and lead completely ordinary lives.
At least, that’s what they want you to think.
