"The world was predicted to end on the 26th of February of last year."
"It was named 'Armageddon day'. I'm sure you all must have heard the commotion back then."
A few small nods rippled across the room.
"That day has long passed. And we're still here."
"An interesting interpretation predicts that something did in fact happen on that day. However, it is something difficult to prove."
The teacher casually flipped through an illustrated textbook before he stopped to read a paragraph on a page.
"Hmph, all right, there's this one" he mumbled, while he fingered through a passage. "A theory exists that these eschatological events concerned two opposing deities, one... the destructor and the other... the savior."
"The clash of the deities' powers had resulted in the creation of another universe, which had saved our own from destruction. This newly created world, following the will of the saviour, bore the destruction that ours was meant to face. While our universe was ultimately spared, it was not unchanged. As it had been the blueprint for the birth of the new universe, a metaphysical link was forged between between our world and the other. "
"An exact replica of our world had been created that day. Everything, and everyone, would have a copy of themselves existing somewhere in another realm. Although it is unknown what catastrophe had occurred, the power of the destructor would also affect everything in our universe, through this link between our two worlds."
"A whole universe, just like ours, that was created just over a year ago." The teacher scoffed to himself and flipped the book closed. "There has been no such evidence to support these theories. And there may never will be. Whether another world had existed, or still exists, we may never know."
Shera sat hunched over her desk, a hand rested under her chin. Even though he acts so aloof, she thought, staring blankly at the teacher. It's obvious that he's the most interested one out of all of us.
