Some believe in God, others pray to Odin, but supernatural beings have their own deities. Those who created them, who guard them and control their destiny. For wolves, it is the Moon Goddess. Powerful and associated with the night.
Legend has it that in the beginning there were four deities: Time, Nature, Fate, and Creation. Someone referred to them as siblings, others as lovers. Together they created other gods, and with them the world as we know it today was gradually built. Time together with Nature created the seasons. Fate and Creation gave the world powerful emotions and with them also love. Together, the four of them jointly created humanity. With emotions, a routine adapted to day and night, and a desire to make something new just like their creators.
And not only them. Even the descendants of the original gods wanted something of their own, something they didn't have to share with their siblings. And so the Moon Goddess created werewolves, and her twin brother the Sun God created vampires. Two seemingly different races. Some could be controlled by the moon, and others could be harmed by the direct sun. Loved by their creators and cursed by them at the same time. Because a balance must always be maintained in the world.
Although they had one thing in common, they were distant descendants of Fate. In the case of wolves, it reflected on their connection with their purest love; their soulmates. They shared a bond, linked their thoughts together, and shared a love that humans could not even imagine.
Speaking of humans, it was also necessary to maintain a balance in their case. Living in a world of supernatural beings, they needed a way to defend themselves, and that’s how hunters were born. Men and women trained to hunt the gifted: half-humans and half-gods. Their senses were sharper, their feet faster, and their arms stronger. No weapon was unfamiliar to them. Like wolves and vampires, they were predators.
It was a given that these three could not live in harmony with each other. Until Fate decided to step in and create the unthinkable. The bond between the hunter and the wolf. And this is where our story begins.
