Oliver’s POV
Hey, my name’s Oliver. It’s my first day of high school and I can tell by the end of the day I’m going to get beat up. How do I know? Listen up, most of everyone I know is supportive of the fact that I’m gay. But others, not so much. I’m proud though and no one’s going to change that. Now let’s start the story
A piercing alarm echoed into my head. I groaned and sat up turning off my alarm. I made my way groggily to my closet and took out a pair of clothes then changed. I couldn’t feel my feet as I walked into the kitchen to get a bowl of cereal. Once I ate, I had woken up a little and grabbed my binder to put in my backpack. I live alone in an apartment near the school. My parents are usually always on business trips, so I have the house to myself for days to weeks. I know it sounds bad, but I like having alone time. My parents have always supported me and don’t care that I’m gay, so I live a relatively normal life. I put on my jacket, then my backpack and make my way out the door. I walk a little way, listening to music on my phone until I meet up with Lily at her house. I walk up the steps and knock on the door. Footsteps pad up to the door. I wave as the door opens to reveal my friend Lily. Lily is short for her age she has brown hair and eyes. She dresses and talks like a boy, I guess. Always in a tank top and shorts with her hair in either in a ponytail or French braids with a headband. She uses the terms bro, man, dude, etc. She’s awesome though, really tough.
“Morning dude.”
I laugh, “Sup.”
We head out walking to school.
