Blood. Dripping, gushing, smeared or oozing. All the best stories start with it. Before Disney and the Coca Cola company sanitized fairy tales, all stories were drenched in blood. It flows within you, beneath your skin, looking for something as insignificant as the sharp edge of a piece of paper to release it from its confines. It wants to escape.

But a mere papercut has not done this.

The man’s suit has always been red, but now it’s darker, wetter. Steam rises from the body as blood slowly turns the snow around it into a red and pink mush. An antler rises proudly from the man’s chest, gory scarlet strips dangling from its tines. A singular sleigh bell hangs from the top, a twisted ornament, tinkling softly in the cold breeze of Christmas Eve.

They always say, “You better watch out, you better not cry”, but this year it seems that Santa isn’t coming to town…

Starting on December 1st, we'll begin posting stories from a variety of different authors from Tapas and Wattpad, all who have written exclusively for this anthology.

All the stories will be about the yuletide season, though each author has been left to interpret the theme 'Spooky Christmas' in their own way. Add to your library now so you don't miss the first release on the 1st December!
