here Dacha regales their tale of love and loss as they contemplate if it was their actions and the consequences were decided by their nature or how they were nurtured. To some degree we are results of our environments and our own nature, some have more of one than the other. But at some point we have to step back and wonder , “what made me the way I am?”
The story is a one shot but I have other stories for the characters so you guys will see them now and again. Depending on how short something is, ill post the whole thing. This has sort of a part 2 to it, ill add that in as well.
God i hate coloring pages. I tried to take inspiration from panther monochromatic episodes and a bit of lore Olympus when i added color at the last minute it was still torture even with the simpler coloring. I wanted to cry, hehe. It look nice tho.
This is an eight page comic for a school project I did a little while ago. We were supposed to do things concerning binary or sort of opposites , and mine was “Nature vs Nurture.” I used my characters Dacha, Lindell , and Tuleo for this. It was a quick comic to get a story across but I am happy that i got too work with said characters again. I put a fair bit of symbolism in these few pages, hoping it makes sense.the cover was made in procreate as well as colored digitally, but all the pages are traditional in media. The old pen and ink.
Dasha is a species of like… flower people i came up with years ago. I call the, Floriens., they are inspired by the Greek Anthousai, and come in as many verities, and shapes as there are flowers
Lindell is the lone mammalian in this trio. she look’s like a dog person but shes more humanoid by my standards. I plan to update this species someday buuut the information will largely remain the same.. shes some species i call Neiram .
And finally , the butterfly guy, Tuleo. he’s based on a ruby spotted butterfly and a bird of some origin. i based his race off of the mothman legend - where they cant decide if this cryptid is a bird or a moth. so i made them both with individuals varying in how much of each they are. species name subject to change.
