On an ordinary sunny day in the town of Orujinshinaka, the sunshine glimmers, the flowers bloom, the crops grow in the countryside of town, and on occasion a spree of demons emerge, attempting to hunt down an estranged young girl in order to plague the universe in Eternal Darkness. On the other hand, it's not always about fighting evil and saving the world. Sometimes we all have to face reality whether we want to or not.
In the suburban area of town, about 30 minutes away from Sonia's house on Abbey Street is Julianna, a large, gruff and tough girl who never enjoys anyone's company except her own. She resides on King J. Lane in a house painted in such dull colors that one could be confused if it was only made of wood and hasn't been painted since then. Her parents are always a little neglectful of her, mostly because she keeps herself quiet or doesn't really participate in family activities with them. Her mother, a tall yet anorexic-ish woman, always just believed she was only going through a phase, not really believing when Julianna says she says who she is.
On the other side, her father is a big, rotund fellow that one could confuse her for Paul Blart. He always thought Julianna was more of a man rather than a girl, and would either challenge her to see how tough she is, or try to make her more ladylike and proper... When he feels up to doing it of course. Her brother Daniel, a rowdy, young, and outgoing fellow is always getting himself into either trouble, or run in by the cops, and even through that, he still ends up as the favorite child in the family, leaving Julianna feeling jealous and abandoned. Did I mention that their sibling rivalry against each other can be a bit over the top? You can mostly see it when Julianna gets enraged and tackles Daniel to ground and places him in a strangling headlock. He may be young, about 13, but he can squirm out of Julianna's grasp... Mostly when he pulls pranks on her. To calm her ever-so-enraged-emo-like mood, Julianna takes up the habit of reading Shakespearean novels, Edgar Allen Poe tales, a dash of poetry or "somewhat" erotic literature, and even playing her bass guitar with an amp included in case she wants to drown out any annoying noise.
About 10 minutes down the block, 3 minutes if you drive, you can reach a more colorful house, and I don't just mean by designs either. This is the house where Mellisa lives. Unlike Julianna, Mellisa is the COMPLETE opposite. Where Julianna is more dark and brooding at times, Mellisa is sweet, adorable, and beautiful, not to mention that her body shape is unlike any other. Because of her attractive beauty, a lot of people take notice and try to make a move on her. Thankfully, her pure innocence helps to avoid any type of trouble, even if she causes it on accident, It could be that fact that her parents are mixed adding to the reason why she has a body like this, but nobody can be sure exactly.
Mellisa's parents were sweet and loving, always playing with her, always having a good time, and never was a bother to any of them. As she grew up, they would play, and play, and play, and always did everything with smiles on their faces. However, when Mellisa turned 15, her parents were drafted into war. Both her mother and father met and served in the army, and settled down in Orujinshinaka to start a family. Mellisa's grandmother Josephine, a former actress, master chef, thespian, dancer, spy, ninja, and army veteran herself, came to care for Mellisa when she found that her parents had disappeared after she came home from school. When she asked Granny Josephine where her parents went, the old woman had no way to respond. She couldn't tell the girl that her parents went to war, and because of Mellisa's oblivious mindset, the only response that she could say to her was, "Why young child, they're off on a business trip to another country studying cultures. They promised me that I would make sure that you will be okay while they're away." Having the mind of a kitten, Mellisa nods in assurance that she believes her grandmother, and hugs her close with a loving smile, welcoming her granny to her home.
Mellisa's bubbly nature at school has gained her a multitude of friends, and made her cheerleader captain. This girl, however, is not perfect. She's prone to mistakes as every other human being would be. Her work ethic is pretty confusing to understand, not just in school but also when she does a good amount of manly work, or performing feats that nobody else could. When it came to demon attacks at school, Mellisa is sometimes in the crossfire and comes out unharmed, unscathed, and unsure of what just happened, but puts it off as she enjoys the rest of her day. She might not catch and see what happens, but she often doesn't let it bother her in any way. However, spending an entire day of fun is never complete until she spends a good amount of time with her best friend, or "bestie" as she likes to call her, Julianna. Mellisa has always had a fondness of Julianna and has been calling her that ever since the day they met.
