Hi, Dorothy!
Long time no see, ey? Time flies when we’re away, especially when we both have a kid to help out.
Speaking of, how are you? I heard that you found a kid of your own back in January. Congratulations! I bet you’re doing great!
Me and Janice are doing wonderful here. She’s an especially bright one, and is obsessed with writing. She’s really good at it, too! And she’s only six! Look at what she wrote about our adventures in space: in one line, she poetically describes the scene as a “fun and very nice place.” That’s an instant classic! I could read her stories for hours.
Of course, in the beginning when we first met, it was a little weird. I didn’t know how to act at first, and I felt a little awkward at times. But I found over time that you shouldn’t worry about doing something wrong. You mustn’t cling to your mistakes, you should only learn from them. Remember, too, to be supportive to your kid and what he does. And on a last note, if you ever need support, send a letter to me! - I’ll try to help however I can.
Hope to see you soon!
With love from Joel

Hello, Joel.
Thank you very much for thinking of me. It sure has been a while since we last met, has it not? And after all this time, I’m very glad you’re doing well.
My child Andrew has been exceptionally good and well-behaved since our introductory meeting that January. He is a quite peculiar one, however; he says he wants to be a duck when he grows up. Well, I suppose there’s nothing that will stop him from becoming one, is there? Nonetheless, he is definitely a goofy kid.
Andrew also likes to draw. The illustrations he makes are... let’s just say, very abstract. One time he drew something I thought looked like a reddish-purple seal, but as it turned out, it was meant to be an illustration of me. I’m sure he’ll improve over time, and Andrew likes drawing a lot, so it’s certainly a possibility.
I took your advice from your letter, and it’s actually helping a lot. I’ve been a lot less introverted around Andrew, and as I opened up to him more and more, he started to drop a more quiet personality and opened up to me as well. In fact, the other day he showed me his favorite drawings of his favorite friends, and one of him happened to be the one of me. Thank you for your guidance, and I hope you write back soon.
From yours sincerely, Dorothy Joy
