‘Don’t enter into the labyrinth’ the mothers used to say. 'The little girls who enter into the labyrinth never come back.’ 'The spirits of the labyrinth will try to trick you.’ 'They will pretend to be sheep but they are wolves.’ Warnings repeated to the girls in the town day after day.
Yet some girls were still tricked. Once during a full moon Thalita went to a party in the next town. There she met a handsome young boy with bright gray eyes. They talked and they danced and they drink and at the end he offered to accompany her to her house.
She was so occupied talking and smiling she didn’t notice they had taken a shortcut. She wanted to go back but a kind smile and a wink made her change her mind. The labyrinth was dark and humid, and after a few steps everything went black. When she woke up it was past noon and she found herself at the door of her house. She couldn’t remember what had happened the day before but when she put her hands between her legs she knew one thing for sure. The little girl she was never made it back from the labyrinth.
