Chapter 1
The brown bear made a big roar as I attacked with my dagger. The bear jumped at me, so I ducked down and slid on the mud for momentum. When the bear was finally over me I took my dagger and SLICED open it's stomach leaving a huge scar that it would die from even if I didn't finish it off.
This was still a dangerous situation, but it would be a fatal blow that would stop the jumping ability. I quickly turned around ready to block the bears next attack. Even though it couldn't jump it could still could destroy my ear. By blowing up the nerves.
I was right as soon as I turned around, I heard a giant roar flowed by a visible vibration. "What a pain" I thought and got into a blocking position.
I quickly swung my dagger and yelled block. It was a successful block. So then I mustered up all my speed, and put my mana in my dagger. The blade of the dagger started growing white flames of pure light, and I ran at full speed at the bear.
I knew it couldn't get away because of the cut on its stomach earlier. If it tried to get away it would be limping. So as soon as I was at the bear I ducked to miss the bite and thrusted the hot dagger into its wide slimy mouth and finished it off.
I suddenly notice the throbbing pain in my left arm, the same arm used to kill the bear. I slid my long sleeve up to find a big scar from the bear's tooth. I ran to my bag in the bushes around the opening where the bear was standing before I killed it.
In the opening there are tall thick oak trees with a few small trees, and there’s a small river over to the northern side of the opening. The grass has that natural light green from the sun.
I wrap up my arm with moss bandages since I can’t really get enough money for good ones. I tighten up the bandages to soak up some blood and decide that I won't be able to go back to the village to earn some cash for the bears head because of the long hike. It took me three days to get here and the forest is thick so I prefer to jump around on top of the trees other then go through the forest.
I go and search through the stuff I have and lay them out in front of me. I have my dagger, the sheet of paper for killing the bear which the dagger is on so it doesn’t blow away.. If I didn’t have this and killed the bear I wouldn’t get the 10,000 gold coins for killing it. I have my painkillers medicine, which is what most of my money goes too. I also have A few explosive arrows teh I use as daggers that explode. Finally I have a packet of food and a water bottle with water in it.
I decide to take a few painkillers and wash it down with some water from the water bottle then I fill it with river water. “Not the most healthy but it works.” I think to myself. Next I start cutting the bear up with my dagger but leaving and cutting off the head for the prize money.
I check for any poison that the bear would be immune to but I wouldn’t, but I find nothing and roast the bear. The bear tasted pretty good so I got to work quickly and made a small temporary shelter for the night. I chuckle at the thought of not being able to use my right arm for cutting branches and other stuff.
It is slowly getting dark now but I decided to bathe in the river. The water is refreshing and surprisingly hot but it gets slightly colder when the sun is gone. I get dressed but don’t put on my chest plate and rest of my armor.
I go to put my stuff in my bag. I put my water container in first then the packet of food. I put in the painkillers and the rest of medicine and the moss bandages. The bear head would not fit in the bag so I need to carry it with my hands tomorrow. I take the dagger off the paper and set it next to me. I don’t put it in the bag because I sleep with it in case of an attack.
For some reason I always get the feeling the dagger would save my life. Which it has but to greater measures. Like if I didn’t have it I would surely die but if I did my life would be spared.
There’s a slight breeze and I go to grab the sheet of paper but it’s not there. I look around rapidly for it. I spotted it to my left the same way the breeze went. Finally, the wind comes again, blowing it out of sight.
