If you don't know who I am, I am J. A. Jumphol also known as Joy. I don't know why you're here but I am not complaining. While you're here, you might as well read some of my stories (linked in the description below).
Those who are familiar with me, hi! It's been a while.
I used to do life updates in my novels in the author note/description area of the stories and I slowly stopped doing that. I realized as I was writing so many chapters and scheduling them, I felt like whatever I wrote in those areas didn't feel like a true life update anymore or I had completely forgotten that I wrote anything there in the first place. I also tend to have two or even more ongoing stories at once which makes things confusing if certain people are subscribed to one series and aren't for others. Tapas also doesn't have the wall post feature accessible on the app (cue the frustrated screaming here).
So, tada! We're here. If there is anything important that I want you guys to know, it'll be thrown in here so keep it saved via subscribing or like stalk this every so often.
So, I'm Joy. I am Chinese Thai Canadian and I have ADHD but I'm willing to bet some
of you may have already had a feeling about the latter part by the way
I'm rambling. At the moment, I'm a genderfluid demi pan person who has no pronoun preference (just don't use any slurs as my pronouns and we are A-Okay, go crazy). Who knows if that'll change? Maybe I'll hate a certain set of pronouns in the future and will ask people to use another set. Nothing is set in stone and no divine figure is forcing me to make things permanent so whatever I decide in the future is up to me and me alone.
I received a bachelor's degree in Cinema and Media studies and I'm currently a passionate bookseller. Because of my bookstore job, I received way too many advanced reader copies from publishers and get a very nice discount on books so if you see me talk about anything I'm currently reading keep that in mind. Media analysis is a huge passion of mine as well so you can expect me to be watching video essays about literally anything that can be video essayed.
I've been on Tapas since 2018 and started posting longer stories in 2020. My writing journey actually started on Wattpad and I've been there since 2013. I've been at this for over ten years, who would've thought?
That's all I'm willing to divulge for now. I'll see you in the next update!
