CHAPTER 1 - The Start of Something
....................Year 55E....................
0. "Mommy, mommy!" The voice of a young girl cried, "I need to tell you something, it's very important!"
The little girl runs up the stairs of her families palace and rushes into her mother's room while her mother stares at the window outside looking highly dismayed.
"Mommy, are you okay?" The girl asked, seeing her mother look so distraught.
"I just wish your father would be the rightful king that he is and stop making his men fight against these demons! She shouts, "it's going to get all of them killed, and like the other nations is something we're not, this has to stop, but your father is so stubborn, he'll never listen to me," she says sadly while walking away from the window. The little girl runs to hug her mother and says, "I met a young boy while I was playing, and he said that his people are doing the same thing."
"His people?" her mother questions, "you're not messing with other nations are you? We told you already, the Seperean people are the safest to talk to right now."
"Well mommy, he is from the Lesothian nation, he sometimes talks to me about the things that's going on and his father is trying to make him one of the soldiers to fight, his name is Marshogon, mommy, he's my friend." "I'm glad you're making friends, but right now isn't the time, so tell this boy, Marshogon, that he needs to leave you alone, for his sake, tell him you are saving him, okay?"
"But, mommy..."
"Maldu, go tell him, I'll be around."
"Okay." She lets out, simply walking away after.
...
During the times of the Adenians destruction on the nations of Second Earth, this time of century E, was a whole new era for the people, causing war, sadness, despair, calamity of the nations, and sadly, the most destructible one, death.
Maldu runs outside to an area full of trees to where she passes the sandy desert air of sadness and war, people around her full of drought, dryness, and confusion, wondering if this is how the world's ending. Maldu walks away from all of that, walking in shade of beautiful trees which is the border of the Lesothian nation and her nation.
She walks past her guardian, Pahlo, who standing in full armor starts saying, "Maldu, what are you doing? You should not be out here?" "Pahlo, I'm talking to Marshogon again, mother wants me to talk to him and tell him that I can no longer talk to him, by our same of war, please, let me talk to him?" "
Pahlo stands back and says to her after looking around, "Make it quick, a ten year old girl shall not linger out in this war for so long, now go, I'll be here."
Maldu walks toward some bushes and a small path viewing a discreet border of the other nations. A young boy walks over to her holding something behind his back, he stands at the path while Maldu stands in front of him saying, "what are you hiding from me? This is no time for games."
"I found something when you left, it's a map and book about some island below us, it's a very powerful place it says, and that some warriors made from the crystals that fall are here to save us by killing that 100-year span demon, here look, it's called Southern Island."
Maldu looks at it thoroughly and says, "oh my, it is...amazing, this will help us, I need to take this to my father, tell your people about it as well," she hugs him tightly and says, "thank you for finding this, Marshogon."
Maldu starts feeling sadden by the fact that this is her last time to be with Marshogon, she doesn't cry, but she closes her eyes instead, not letting go of him. She starts saying, "my mother doesn't want me talking with you anymore, she said that it's very dangerous for our nations, and that everyone needs to be with their own nations during this chaos."
"Maybe that'll change, once you show her the map and the book, do it now, we've been talking for months, I can't just leave you, I really want to be with you for our entire life." Marshogon pulls away from her saying, "go now, go!"
Maldu runs back to her home, with Pahlo following after her saying, "Maldu, wait!" Maldu runs as fast as she can, running as fast as the desert wind. Maldu makes it to her home and sees her father there with all of his countless horsemen, so she stops right in front of him and his horse, dropping the book on the ground, "uh..." She mutters, trying to pick it up.
"Maldu...What is going on here, why were you running so fast, has something approached you, and where is Pahlo?"
"Right here, my king," he says finally stopping to speak, "I had to chase after her, she ran as fast as the wind, I was running as fast as I could." "From what?" He says confused.
Pahlo answers him, "I don't know exactly myself, she was...speaking with one of her friends for a bit, then she took off and ran as fast as she could, I'm trying to get an answer as well."
"Be more watchful next time." The king says strictly.
"Yes, my king."
The king turns to Maldu and says, "speak, darling." As she is about to speak everyone comes around them, including her mother who stands at the bottom of the stairs, "that friend I've known for a while, he found this book and map, it's very powerful he says, it says that it's about a Southern Island below us, and that the crystals that are falling are very powerful meaning that ten of those crystals are warriors, here to live as people to kill the 100-year span demon, and that the Island is very important and the warriors will train there, meaning that the Island is not touched by the Adenians, I believe it is true."
Everyone stays silent, until the king starts laughing, causing everyone to laugh, "this is not funny, father, this is serious!" "If that's the case, bring him here, which tent does he live in?"
Pahlo looks at Maldu with a look to speak truth, so Maldu starts saying, "he is not from here, he is apart of the Lesothian nation."
The king puts on a serious face saying, "why are you messing with the Lesothian people, how long have you known this...boy..." He says sternly.
"For five months, he is just a friend, daddy, he won't degrad us."
He looks at Pahlo, then says, "we are going to speak with the Lesothian sovereign about this, everyone, let's go right now."
He leaves on his horse and everyone follows after him, "my dear, this is not right!" The queen yells, he then looks at her and says, "yes, it is, I know it is, I make the rules alright, my queen, these Lesothians trying to get everyone to listen to them, just because they have the essentials of the world, it makes me sick," he turns to his men, "let's keep going!" Then he leaves.
The queen walks to Maldu and says, "did you even listen to me?" "Of course, as I said goodbye, he gave me the book and the map."
"Let's go, we should follow them, I'm the queen, and I need to show responsibility of this, come on, both of you." They leave the home and follow after the king to the Lesothian nation.
Chapter 2: Lesothian Nation
0. They arrive at the gate of the tribe, a gate of unique grass that's wrapped around the bronze gate, he takes his staff of rubies and puts it on the gate, right in the middle, then his guards knock on the gate, not too hard, but enough to be heard. As they wait, the queen, Pahlo, and Maldu show up behind them, the queen starts to speak, but gets cut off by the door opening.
Four men riding on dog looking creatures come before them, with the leader saying, "what else is it that you neighbors need?"
"We need to speak with your kings son, Marshogon, he has been speaking with my daughter for five months, and we need this to be settled." The man starts smiling and says, "the princess of your nation, Maldu, yes, she comes over through the night a lot, we have no problem seeing her as she is harmless, and we are very friendly here, but only for the true friends."
"Maldu, You've been talking with this tribe and visiting them for months and you have not said a word?" "Father, I thought that you guys would think it's not right, and not believe me."
"Lets settle this, please." He says, annoyed.
The man gets off his horse saying, "maybe this friendship thing can be one for the whole nation, not just my daughter."
"Then come, our sovereign is waiting."
They walk through the beautiful mountainous region, making it over where one of the palaces is, and a sovereign standing before them as they come up, standing with Marshogon, his wife, and his daughter. The man walks over to him and says, "well, welcome Jabulani, it's nice to see you."
"How do you know my name..? " Jabulani questions. "By your daughter of course, she's very lovely."
"Well I have come to inform you about this situation with your son and my daughter, I would appreciate it if you were to set rules on our children mingling around like this, I believe it's best we stay apart until something important happens, then we come together, but right now, can your son Marshogon let my daughter be, so that Maldu can be to herself?"
The sovereign starts to say in a serious manner, "my son has found something that'll change this horrible time we live in, this book and this map from our Creator that he has informed us will save us, and this is the time to come together, that's why I had my son talk to Princess Maldu, to build a relationship between our nations, and eventually the other nations as well. We have been reacting and building ships and boats to find this island, and apparently it's very southern under the Naminek nation according to the map, so we've been studying nonstop. And your daughter wanted to help us as she felt it was right, and we all did, so please let us find this island to unleash the warriors so that when the time has gone by we can always be remembered of finding their work place, it's best to do this now, so what do you say, do you agree?"
King Jabulani sits there for a second, thinking about it, then he says, "yes...Let's go to this island, but first we'll have the guardians of our bird keepers fly there first, to make sure that the island is truly safe, in that time, we will finish our boats and ships to go ourselves, they will fly back over here once they see if the Island is safe, so when they fly over there, they can let the other nations see them flying, and maybe they'll do something themselves."
"So, does this sound like a plan?" The Sovereign wonders.
"Of course, let us start now."
They all make peace with everything and begin their journey to Southern Island.
CHAPTER 3: Clash Before The Island
0. Time passes by as the nations both strive to get to this island safely. Constantly, they send bird keepers to fly back and forth. The fly took two days for both ways.
By this time Maldu is eleven, and her and Marshogon still would chat and get along well still. Finally the time has come, and King Jabulani makes his speech in front of all his people saying, "the time has finally come! We will populate this island, for months we have strived to get to safety, and today we will go down and bring our people to be saved!"
Everyone cheers in agreement as the Island is safe and for all the people to live.
His wife, Queen Maori, still doesn't feel it's right, as the Island is for the warriors, and that their stay is pointless, so she walks up to where Jabulani is standing and says, "I don't think this is right, we can't stay on the island, it's for the warriors."
Jabulani stops and says, "you think so? Then fine, but we are going to see the island, it's for our own good, I know we have too."
"Fine, have it your way, my king..."
People start loading on boats and then they sail away once it's done. The king and his family get on last to the biggest boat, then they go on and sail away as well.
The next day as they are sailing to the island, almost there, the skies start getting darker and darker, and the storm clouds get larger with thunder to be heard. The wind picks up and the waters start swaying back and forth. "What is going on? There is a storm coming?" Pahlo says in a scared tone. Jabulani gets up and says, "yes, and it's going to be a very bad storm, we need to get to safety, Maori, get the kids down first."
"Yes, my king."
Queen Maori takes them downstairs to the bottom of the boat, and then all of the people go down after, leaving Jabulani and his men. The captain that's steering the boat tries to get them to safety, but eventually about an hour later, the storm catches them. Everyone panics for their lives and it gets so bad that the boat starts breaking apart. Jabulani starts yelling at the captain saying, "get us back home!! The new creations can survive nothing I see." He mumbles too himself after.
"I'm trying, we are almost at the Southern Island!"
As the winds block the view to the island, it doesn't block the view of a large ship coming their way. "A ship, we need to call for help!" Pahlo says speaking in a loud voice due to the storm. Finally a ship appears in front of them, and a long plank of wood comes out of the mist, with a voice shouting, "come on! Walk on the plank! We are here to save you guys, it's me Sovereign Arminyahu IV of the Lesothian Tribe! Please show trust for the sake of your lives!"
Jabulani walks up the plank and says, "It's very tiny to walk on, anyone can fall, especially the children, even if it's however long, it won't work!!!" He shouts back. "Yes, it will! We need to get out of here, it's better than the destruction on this ship, anything is right now, there are people dying, use your brain!!!" Pahlo shouts at him.
"Don't you talk to me like that!!!"
King Jabulani pushes Pahlo causing him to fall off the ship, he holds on to the sides screaming for help, with the Lesothians trying their best to get him up as well while King Jabulani lies down with immediate guilt. While this, Maori gets the children on the plank with another person going across before them and after them as she tried to save Pahlo, "what is wrong with you, Jabulani! How could you do this to Pahlo, my brother! How dare you!!"
Maori tries to get to Pahlo, but he is already gone, Maori falls to her knees and starts beating on Jabulani, he takes her to the side and throws her on the plank, she eventually makes it across, even in tears, having her handmaiden help her to the other side, while or everyone else does as well, but the ones who didn't survive as it is that deadly.
Jabulani finally gets across and they end up on the boat, which is fused with bronze and treasures, but they seem to be a little messed up by the storm. Everyone sits together as they watch their ship fade away in the distance, with Maldu crying as she lays her head down by her mother, crying about Pahlo and what happened to everyone.
Maldu lifts her head up as she sees these glowing lights in the distance, she sits up a little and looks closer at it, it looks like the sun, but it only shines in front of Maldu, as nobody else notices it, she starts to ignore it and lies back, but when she sits up to check, it's gone.
