The auburn sky burns above, illuminating the scorching rocks of the canyon desert. The mechanical purring of a bike engine roars closer. A motorcycle's silhouette reveals itself behind the horizon, carrying on it the figure of a woman. Sitting on the motorcycle, her short chestnut hair pushed back by the wind, her teal eyes look forward with determination. Ene Eldenghard: 22 year old Badass Motorcycle Stuntman; she flips her reflective bike goggles down to cover her eyes as the dust from under her wheels kicks up into the air intensely. She revvs the engine, leaning forward to reduce air resistance. The dust kicks up with a ferocity as the wheels turn faster, headed straight for a massive ramp spread across the wide canyon valley. The motorcycle hits the ramp, riding its length and soaring into the sky. In midair, she maneuvers expertly: spinning the bike 180 degrees. Now facing the opposite end, she quickly switches it into reverse before its wheels touch the other end of the canyon. Quickly the wheels make contact, skidding for only a moment before she regains control and continues backwards down a large sloped path winding over the canyon. She peers over her shoulder, and expertly guides the bike down into an open flat patch of earth. Before losing a moment of speed, she spins the bike and switches it back into drive. She revvs hard and kicks up chunks of earth before shooting off towards a road hugging the cliffside. She jumps the bike onto the road, rushing forward and cornering the steep roadway expertly. The tips of her hair brush the asphalt as the bike skids. She rights the bike once more skidding sideways to stop in the roadway. With dirt covering her, she takes a hand and lifts her goggles back up, breathing heavily with a big smile across her face.
Then, the daydream ends. Interrupting her doodling herself idly on blueprint paper, a shop door’s chime rings out through her small store. Ene shoots up, quickly flipping the blueprint over. “Hello! How may I help you today?” She says cheerfully to the two customers who just walked in.
Ene Eldenghard, age 22, business owner.
A lanky man with pink hair replies to her, accompanied by a short redheaded woman. "Hi. I'm looking for some computer parts? a CPU, hard drive, and uhh- a monitor."
Ene stands up, approaching the leftwards wall lined with computer parts, "No problem! I have sections for each part. We can start with the hard drive; it's to your right there. We have a few good brands, do you have a budget?"
The redhead wanders around the store, browsing the “RGB parts” section while the pink-haired fellow continues to speak to Ene. "Not really, just kinda finding the brands I want first."
"Sure! no problem,” Ene responds, “Let's see, we have Hydrogate, Northern Digital, Tishoba, Hatishi, SansDisc and T-Tech in right now. Any you're interested in?"
The two continue on, discussing various computer parts and desired performance. The clock ticks calmly above the store entryway. The man clicks off his phone, having gathered all of the notes he needed. The door chimes again as the two exit the store.
"Thank you again!" Ene says while she waves them away. Hours pass, Ene silently filling the emptiness with more idle doodles on the back of her blueprint sheets. Soon, it is time to close up shop. Ene flips the shop sign, and exits, locking the door behind her and stuffing the key back into the brown bag draped over her shoulder. In the small parking lot of her business, wedged between two larger buildings, her motorcycle awaits. The seat is warm from the rays of the sun on this clear day. Ene is unbothered as she sits on the bike, removing her bag from her side and placing it securely within the protective pouch attached to the back of the bike.
She takes a helmet from the other side of the pouch and securely affixes it to her head. The calming purr of the motorcycle’s engine greets her as she turns the keys in its ignition port.
In moments, she’s off to her shift at the nearby architectural firm: “Temecak Studio Architecture”. There she sits for several hours, sketching modern pieces of architecture for clients of the company. After work, she enjoys a cup of chocolate hazelnut coffee- hot from being freshly brewed by her co-worker.
After work, she finds herself perusing a mall, finishing her coffee as she window shops past various stores. Feeling the after-work hunger, she grabs a quick snack before she exits the mall, with it soon closing for the night.
