In 2011, Hosteen Chester Nez, the last surviving member of the original 32 Navajo Code Talkers, Marine Recruit Platoon 382 published his autobiography.
In 2014, as apart of my high school graduation requirements, I created this. The first 3 pages were all I completed before becoming discouraged. I've retrofitted the original storyboards with the text, quotations from Hosteen Nez.
This will be the baseline from which the rest of this project will grow.

This is the ongoing development art for a graphic docunovella series about the Navajo Code Talkers of WWII, who developed a verbal code based on the Navajo Language and was critical in maintaining security in the pacific theater of the war. This series will be works in progress only. All finalized versions of the project will be published and uploaded separately.
