Roman sat on Virgil’s bed, eyes roaming around the boy’s room taking it all in. Virgil’s sheets were plaid purple and black. his room had the nightmare before christmas posters next to his bed. The spider web curtain is still very scary, of course. There were, to Romans surprise, LED lights wrapping the room in a dark purple lighting. There was a bookshelf in the corner of the room, on the first shelf were Vinyls of different bands, not a surprise. On the second shelf were cds of music artists which was slightly clustered. On the last two were books, horror, (Stephen King) and multiple mystery detective type books. Roman really wanted to appreciate it but as his mind was still trying to understand what in the hell had just happened he really couldn’t.
Virgil was in the same position as Roman. Sitting on the prince’s bed, the sheets were such a nice red, no surprise. A trophy shelf of every victory the Prince had won and had deemed worth going up on the shelf. Pictures of the four of the together plastered on his wall. His weapons hanging on his wall neatly, looking quite worn though. That was about it, Virgil could understand not wanting a clustered area honestly. Virgil would have liked the pretty much empty room if he wasn’t trying not to freak out.
--------- A couple hours earlier------
Roman’s POV
Virgil and I had gotten into another spat with each other. In all honesty? I was angry with Patton for siding with Deceit basically, so like the dumbass I truly am, I took my anger out on Virgil. I could see Virgil and the verge of tears as we kept yelling at each other and I realized how much of an asshat I was being so I stopped. I just stopped. It felt weird to give up on a fight, but Virg didn’t deserve my shit.
He was basically out of breath by the time he stopped yelling, panting hard wiping tears threatening to spill from his eyes. I wanted to comfort him so badly but before I could Patton came from behind Virg and started to rub his back comforting him. All I could do was glare at him. He frowned at me and led us both to sit on the couch. Standing in front of us like a parent would do while scolding their child which in a way applied to us. “Roman why are you picking on Virg for! I thought you were past this.” His voice raised at me and I could hear the disappointment in his voice but I ignored it. “And how could YOU be all “buddy buddy” with that snake.” I basically hissed out at him. Patton looked taken back but only for a moment before regaining his composure before rubbing the bridge of his nose mumbling something about deserving extra cookies.
So he decided to ignore me and turned his attention to Virg. “Virgil, kiddo I have a question, heck! Consider this an offer” Virg brought his head up to look at the man in front of him and raised an eyebrow at him. He leaned his elbow on his leg resting his head in his hand. “What the hell are you on about Pat?” Patton smiled brightly and clapped his hands together and said in a cheery voice “Well,” dragging out the word, “How bout you become Creativity!” My whole body tensed up as Patton offered this to him. “Hey! What the hell are you on about! You can’t do that!” I yelled at him. He waved me off. Rude. “Well Virg? You’d be creativity and Roman would be anxiety. Whaddya say kiddo?” Virg looking anxious. Then again when didn’t he. I honestly thought he would turn it down but he didn’t “Ok.” He said in the smallest voice ever, also nodding his head just in case Patton couldn’t hear him.
3rd POV
He saw Patton glow at this and all he did was snap his fingers and only seconds later was Roman washed over with this overwhelming feeling of anxiety and a lump formed in his throat. Virgil seemed to have had the weight of the world of his shoulders. “7 days is how long this will last. Ok boys? Now behave yourselves and I recommend getting all the necessities from your rooms to switch rooms for your appropriate side.” Patton didn’t stop smiling and Roman felt uneasy at that.
Roman raided his bathroom of everything that could point to his depression and shoved it all in his satchel trying to act casual as he shoved clothes on top of everything. He walks into Virgil’s room feeling more at ease. His anxiety was not shot through the roof like before. He sighed heavily, dropping his satchel to the ground before flopping face first into Virgil’s blankets breathing heavily and sighing loudly. Curling into the blankets getting himself acquainted. His last thoughts of Virgil before dozing off.
