Bajingo’s work is heavily influenced by the dark moody themes, horror, and many aspects of 80s media. Secret of NIMH, Labyrinth, Hellboy, Hellsing, and Predator are some of her biggest influences.

— SuzieGuru has loved stories as long as she can remember, told through print or cinema, and that love has bloomed into weaving her own worlds with words. She finds inspiration everywhere but is drawn to the enduring power of fairytales and myths, especially subversive takes on such well known stories. She is a passionate lover of the moody darkness of classic literature such as the Brontë sisters, Shirley Jackson and D.H. Lawrence, where women behave badly and boldly and the taboo is plunged into. Feminism, exploration of sexualities, LGBTQA issues, and the outcasts and misunderstood of the world are frequent themes in her work, and she in hopes that those who search for representation that resonates find it in her writing.
