Hello everyone! Maybe some of you noticed that i keep updating (rather frequently) some old episodes of my main webcomic here. I'm simply revising the whole thing from the begining (just cleaning a bit and making things more relevant where i can).
But in the reworking process i guess i just had to jump on the occasion to go back to the old title of my main webcomic here, which as been, since then (and in english), Blank Banner's Burial. I think it's just better to just match with the french version (like it was way before that) : and so, it'll be called Bloody Bastard (from now on).
I used to change the title in english for simple self-censorship matters (at least here) but i guess it doesn't really make much sense either now. Plus, it's something rather clunky and it's something that has bothered me ever since : so, i'm simply switching back!
I really hope it doesn't bother you that much.
But i think it's way better like this (and simpler)!
Better later than never, but as i reworked the panels format of the first issue for Blank Banner Burial, to match the french version, i managed to publish the definitive version on Lulu (at least for the english one). And so, the first issue is now finally available for purchase, in english (as said above), on Lulu Bookstore : it's Hardcovered, all color, US letter format, 51 pages length and cost about 19 dollars (i guess) : or so, 17 euros (for european folks).
Second issue will (hopefully) follow (as soon as possible) but for now, here's the link to the first issue :
While in the reuploads, i also updated the first chapter of Blood Ink Chronicles (with a bit of cleaning). It's maybe a bit brighter now! But i have probably still some pages left to push further (maybe just a little bit)...
Though, I haven't really properly layed out yet the whole thing.
Here we go : the first issue of Blank Banner Burial has been already fully reuploaded AND text corrected (or at least i tried to make the dialogues more smooth). The second issue will also be updated (i hope) very soon!
I'm a bit busy these days. firstly, with Bastion BlackJack's updates as it is still going on (even if it's a bit slowing down right now). But also, additionnaly, i'll be trying to reupload (at least here) a more "definitive" version of all the panels already out for the two first issues of Blank Banner Burial.
It'll be a lil' bit cleaner, a bit sharper too, as the panels will be properly layed out, as it was originally intended and as it is already the case for the french version (out somewhere else). The panels should also come in a somewhat better quality.
Hope you'll be able to appreciate the whole thing reuploaded soon. The three first chapters (and the very begining of the fourth) have alrdeady been updated to the "definitive" version tho. So if you want, you can already check out part of the results...
[Edit] Forgot to mention : the texts will probably get some corrections too (while at it).
Two more pages added to conclude the 2nd issue (finally) : i still have to go back to many panels of the 2nd tome for some cleaning but at least, it's there.
I can also move on, when i want, to the next black and white issue of this saga (Bastion Black Jack) and it may come as soon as possible.
Little update : reworked some of the text of chapter 5, 8 and 9 (mostly corrections but i also edited some dialogues to be more consistent for chapter 5).
Went also back to more unified tints for the colorization of chapter's 8 and 9 panels in order to simplify atmosphere to the basics maybe to push further colors later upon better bases.
As it was before, the colorizations went in too many directions. The ambiance of theses sequences were maybe less homogenous as it is now.
I also cleaned a bit further one or two of these panels in bichromic as well. But there's also still a whole lot of cleaning to do all over the 2nd tome anyway.
Important update for my Inktober this year. I guess i'm about to end up here the challenge for me this year. I'm already happy having done 2/3 of it where i thought i wouldn't stand even for one day. This year's edition has been also quite helpful . I recovered some confidence in my skills that i thought was lost so it's already kind of a success but i cannot go ahead nomore for personnal reasons so... Good luck to those who will make the challenge till the end.
We are close to 100 subscribers on all my publications together. Thank you all for following me even if i'm not quite as active as i would like to (the month of october excepted maybe).
