SupportKilah- Like most Avatar fans, Sydney and I ate up the first three seasons and were sad to see it end. While cleaning houses together, we would discuss the themes of the show and chew over all the little details that brought the story such life. One night we got talking about Toph’s character and started to imagine what her story would look like after the series ended. We got so passionate about her future that right then and there we decided to write what would eventually become “Avatar: Strife and Harmony”. It was only after we had begun did Sydney discover “Legends of Kora”. We decided not to watch the series until we had a finalized script and though we eventually did see “Legends of Kora” and enjoyed it, we still felt very passionate about our unique outlook on the Gaang’s future. After two years of weekly chipping away at this story, from outlines to script to comic book page, we have finally reached a point where we can begin to share our alternative reality for Team Avatar.
Sydney- Let me clarify, that’s two years of just getting our story right and writing out the script. Now we are in for it with actually making this story into a living, breathing comic book. As the artist of this massive undertaking I am truly honored, excited and just slightly overwhelmed. If one thing can be said about this whole thing it’s that we are seriously dedicated to this plot and all that it pertains.
