This story will be less ridiculous and more about interesting meanders of Polish reality. Well, as you probably know, there is something like that in Polish law that applies a statutory name "hotel". Using a legally protected name "hotel" to mark an object that does not have a decision on classification in a particular type and category is an offense and is punishable by a fine or restriction of liberty. Therefore, you can not run a "hotel" if you do not meet certain standards and requirements. Hence, we have all kinds of "hotel services" of "apartments" and other buildings that de facto do the same thing as hotels, but they can not advertise themselves as a "hotel". The bonus is that they do not have to meet all these terrible requirements for hotels. This applies, for example, to the requirement prohibiting the placement of a hotel in a residential building. And so it happens that we have such a place behind our wall. Recently, it's OK, but last year we quite often had, as you will see in the comic, quite interesting guests behind the wall :)
