The war started just like any other war, someone mad at the other person so they sent their troops to attack us. Unlike them we were not prepared for they have been training their whole life to begin this war, we had a week.

We were told to be calm that they could not hurt us, for we had a magical force field covering the city. God could they be more wrong. We all were in fear of them and their strange dark magic, any mage small or big could sense it and it was deadly enough to kill us all. They broke the force field and took slaves to build the new empire for him. 

I thought rosie was gonna be safe where I put her but they found her. I didn't know till it was too late, it was all my fault, IF I HAD JUST STAYED WITH HER.
