I am sorry, for the quality and for the amount of time it took me to publish this episode.
Now, the long version:
Last time I got here I had just received news of getting an internship.
I started it in February, I was on my last semester of college and things piled up quickly.
I finished the sketch for this chapter in April, my therapist stopped attending to me because my health plan didn't cover his clinic anymore, and later, in that same month, my kitty Luci became very ill.
On May 1st she had to receive a blood transfusion. The following 4 months were hell. I had to work, study and wake up every 2 hours during the night to feed her with a syringe and give her medicine. Every time I overslept I'd wake up with her vomiting.
She had kidney disease, her anemia was coming and going until it hit her hard again, she got another blood transfusion but it was useless, and on August 16 I had to put her down, she was only one year old when she died.
I got into some heavy debt to pay for the vet expenses, I was crippled with exhaustion and depression, one of my bosses was absurdly abusive, but I had to stay on the job because of my financial situation.
On October I was fired. Luckily I was re-admitted on the company that owned the editorial I worked in. I found another therapist, though I can't use my health plan to cover this expense, I really needed the help.
Life started to get a little better but I am still very scarred by what happened last year.
I again, apologize, especially for the quality of the comic, and the lack of content, this one was supposed to be just a 'transition' to another core part of the story but it just sat on my computer for 10 months.
I don't have an ETA for the next chapter, I can't make that kind of commitment now since I'm getting acclimated to another job, again, and I won't have a break until October. But I hope I will be feeling good enough to continue it soon.
Jeez, that many things in such a short span of time? Please, ignore us if you have to, but please take care of yourself. I'm happy that things are getting better, but try to find yourself a pace with life before you go add more tasks.
I'm so sad that you felt the need to apologize or to try to give us a schedule when you're so busy just trying to heal yourself. You do what you have to and don't worry, if you can come back we'll wait and if not, we'll understand
