I found out that every child here had powers, but I don't really remember which one had which, just like how I couldn't remember which one had which name, except for Orovax, because her purple hair was wild. Now that I know they have powers, they don't have to be so guarded about them, but it still freaks me out when they use them. I mean, who wouldn't freak out when things, that aren't supposed to happen, happen?
I opened the door after getting home from work, I was getting a list together to go grocery shopping when there was a tap on my back. I turned to see a short teenage girl with long brown hair in a long braid staring up at me.
"Kierane wants to go with you to shop for groceries." the teenage girl said, holding a younger girl's hand. I frowned, confused about who the girl was talking about.
"This little one?" I asked, pointing at the younger girl.
"Yes, this is Kierane." the teenage girl said as she handed the other girl's hand to me. I took the child's hand.
"You don't look strong..." I said, "Do you want to push the cart?" the little girl, Kierane, nodded.
"I want to." Kierane said, "I won't be a bother." I frowned.
"You wouldn't be a bother." I said, "If you were, I'd say that you couldn't come at all." Kierane smiled.
"I'll call the boys." the teenage girl said, "Izadeth, Benaston, Ciran, Timessin, it's time to go to the store." When the girl called the boys, her voice was so loud, I felt like my ears ruptured. The four boys came downstairs in a hurry.
"Thank you for letting us know, Ambinessa." the oldest looking boy said.
"Is Kierane coming as well, Mr. Towers?" one of the other boys asked.
"Yeah." I said, "Let's go." Before I opened the door, I felt like I was being pulled backwards and I turned around to see who was doing it, only to see Orovax.
"Where are you going?" Orovax asked in her normal voice.
"To the store." I said, "It's time to buy food for the place." The purple haired girl frowned.
"I could get food delivered here, easily." Orovax said, "Tell me what you need and it'll be here in a few minutes." I frowned.
"We're not getting delivery food." I said, "I don't want pizza or anything like that." Orovax laughed.
"We'd be getting ingredients, not delivery food." Orovax said, "Like what a restaurant gets."
"And how are they going to be here that soon?" I asked. Orovax smiled.
"I have my ways." Orovax said.
"Okay, do it." I said, "If a truck full of ingredients doesn't get here in half an hour, we'll go to the store." Orovax's smile turned into a smirk.
"It's done." Orovax said, "They'll be here soon."
Sure enough, not even ten minutes later, a truck full of fruits and vegetables came and the delivery guy came inside telling us that our food was there. I signed for the food and tried paying the man, but he said he was already paid. Another two trucks containing other types of food came soon after containing meat, cheese, all sorts of spices, noodles, and other foodstuffs. The same thing happened with the other two delivery people, I signed a paper and was told that they were already paid. I looked over at Orovax in shock.
"How in the world did you do that?" I asked.
"I guess it's just in my genes." Orovax said, playing with her purple hair.
"What kind of powers do you have?" one of the boys asked. Orovax smirked.
"Not telling." Orovax said.
