βHA HA HA! Iβll do more than mock you. If you even think about coming near any of my friendsβ¦β His eye began to burn with a blue fire.
βYour gonna have a bad time.β

The figure was gone before they could finish their sentence
βOld man, you were an amazing scientist, but I will destroy you if you come near my friends.β
βSans! Youβll be late for work!β
Turning away from where the figure disappeared, Sans waved his arm. The void slowly disappeared, replaced by a simple room.
βSans!β
Sitting up, Sans saw his brother Papyrus standing in the doorway.
βAre you even hearing me? Youβll be late for your sentry duty by the ruins. (Not that yu do you job anyways.)β
βSorry Paps. Slept in a bit.β
With a flick of his wrist he pulled his hoodie on.
βReady to go.β
Papyrus shook his head.
βAnd I wonder why Iβm the one ready to get in the royal guard.β
Sans grinned.
βWelp, see you later Paps.β
With that, Sans teleported to his sentry post in the forest between Snowdin and the ruins.
Sans plopped down in his sentry post, grabbing the bottle of ketchup he stored under the desk.
Welp, thought Sans, guess we could only be safe for so long.
Popping off the lid of the ketchup, Sans poured the red condiment down his throat.
Hard to believe that the old man is still in a conscious form.
Sans decided he needed something to keep his mind off of his vision. So for the first time in three months, Sans decided to go on a patrol of his area. Thatβs not to say he didnβt speed it up, using his teleportation.
As he approached the entrance of the Ruins, he was barely paying attention. It wasnβt until he was practically on top of them that he noticed the footprints.
If they came from anywhere else, he may have passed it off as a monster. But the prints came directly from the ruins, and the foot-shape came from no monster he knew.
Following the prints, he quickly came across the human, strolling down the path towards Snowdin. He crept behind them, as quiet as a snowflake.
A snowflake that broke a stick.
Cursing, he teleported behind a tree before they could see him.
He had known they would be coming. The lady behind the door had told him, made him promise to take care of them. His thoughts had made him forget long enough to get distracted.
Pulling something out of his pocket, he walked toward the human as they approached Papyrusβ βbarrierβ
He purposely made plenty of noise as he came up behind them. He didnβt want to surprise them. As he came up behind them, he stuck out his hand, with the item he had pulled out of his pocket attached.
This should be an interesting day.
βHuman, donβt you know how to greet a new Pal?β
A very interesting day.
