Today is the last day for Matilde to be in the city, and there's no better way to celebrate than meeting her two best friends in one of her favourite bars.
"So, are you seeing anyone?" asked a blonde girl with a grin on her face.
"Not really, Jennifer. Actually, I never thought I would be capable of being in love ever. I find that fascinating but the truth is I don't think that's my cup of tea. Maybe I’m aromantic?" She replied, a tired dreary expression while downing her jello shot. "These things are sooo good."
"Wait, you never had a crush on anyone? Like in college or high school?" Jennifer pushed for answers.
"All the boys that caught my eye were either gay or taken. Gay men are eye candy for me, let me tell you.” Matilde shuddered. “Ugh, I feel like a perverted old man saying that." and she downed another jello.
"Well, how about girls?" asked a brunette with caramel skin, "I still can’t believe all I’m admiring is how beautiful and sexy everyone looks." She said as she flailed her arms like painting something in the air.
"But it's true!" Matilde left her jello shot on the table. "I think both of you are very pretty and unique!" She told her friends. " Your freckles are absolutely adorable, Jenny." She pressed her index finger around her nose bridge, "I love it when you don't wear makeup! You look so natural!" The two girls suddenly found themselves ten centimeters away from kissing as Jennifer blushed lightly. "Every human being is beautiful!!! Don't you agree?" She shouted dramatically while standing on the table like she was proclaiming something big. "And I love you all!! I’m gonna miss you guys so freakin’ much, dammit!" Everyone gave Matilde an applause as she sat back down and continued having more jello shots. She was a regular there.
"Awwwww... I love you, too, best friend!” Jennifer went for a tight hug.
A waiter passed by and winked an eye to brunette, Azaleiah. "Free wings for the loving ladies." He said.
Azaleiah paid no mind to the waiter and focused on her two friends. "Aww...you look so cute. Now kiss!!" Azaleiah joked, pushing Matilde and Jennifer’s heads together.
"Hey! That's not funny!" Jennifer stopped before their noses touched each other and glared directly to Azaleiah's eyes "Well maybe just a little, but respect my boyfriend! And as far as I know Matty is straight."
"Straight as a curve?" replied Azaleia with a smug grin.
Yeah that's me Matty, Matilde abbreviated, with an ‘e’. I love barbecues with chimichurri and I hate jello shots now. Anyway, let's go back to the story.
"Cheers to Matty's travel to Canada!!!" shouted Azaleiah and Jennifer in unison.
"It's gonna be amazing. You know, ermmm snow and free health care? Also, Tami Stewart lives there. You know that viewtuber that you love. The one that is always so positive and funny." Jennifer exclaimed, all excited.
"And hot as fuck" Wait what did I just say? Damn jello shots.
"OMG! OMG! OMG! It's the first time I have heard you being interesting in someone!!" Jennifer almost shouted.
"I knew it girl, you play for both teams! Good for you! Don't worry I will love you forever and always." Azaleiah giggled.
"Play for both teams?" I asked, confused.
"Sorry, sometimes the meaning get lost in the translation. I meant that you are bisexual." She cleared out.
"Am I? Really? I don't recall saying that..." Did I? These jellos shots are amazing.
"Really?! Argh! So frustrating!" Azaleiah said while moving her hands to her head. "So troublesome!" I felt like playing with her.
"Can I kiss you? Maybe that way I can decipher my feelings" I smiled playfully and went near her so much that I could smell her perfume.
"Nope, no way. I have a boyfriend and I love him. And..." she looked at all the empty plastic vases. "How many jello shots did you drink?" Azaleiah asked.
"Mmmm six...teen?" I think I am an addict now, but I love grape flavor.
"You know it's filled with vodka right?"
And the DJ put the song of "Rasputin" from Abba.
"Vodka? Go, go Rasputin lover of the Russian queen" And then I tried to dance over the table like Just Dance edition, bad idea.
Now my head it's hurting like hell, and I’m still not sure why I’m in a hotel room with my two best friends when my flight is about to leave in SIX HOURS!!
