I've read one Paranormal/Urban Fantasy novel two months ago, and it ruined my Goodreads challenge for this year. Because nothing I've read since then, comes even close to the excellent storytelling, characters, world building, dialogue, and action that I experienced in the book The One Who Eats Monsters.
It's quite possibly the best book I have ever read, and I can really recommend it if you're an UF/Paranormal fan. It has a sweet romance between a girl and an immortal goddess, and the action would not be out of place in a horror movie.
