Ash looked back at the gaggle of cheebs that followed behind him, Garren taking up the rear. As he watched, Garren caught up with that strange black haired cheeb Ash had seen Mother Virgo casting a spell on last night. With a flick of the wrist, Garren pulled the cheebs hood back onto his head for at least the dozenth time. The two smiled at each other, and the cheeb dashed forward again.
They had been traveling most of the day, stopping only briefly for lunch under a large mushroom. Now they were nearing the edge of Siniad’s Forest, and Ash was getting hungry again. Stopping, he waited for the group to catch up, and turned to Garren.
“What do we want to do for the night?” Ash asked his Master. Garren laughed at his young companion.
“Haven’t you heard the cheebs from Mother Virgo’s tell stories of Bertha’s Tavern?” Garren said the last two words loudly, turning to the group of cheebs behind them and putting his arms in the air, choruses of ‘Bertha’s Tavern’ echoing in the trees. The confused look on Ash’s face let Garren know he hadn’t. Garren snorted and ruffled the fur on the top of Ash’s head in the way that made him cringe.
“Typical- stuck up fire elemental.” Garren teased as he started to walk past.
“Hey, you can’t say that!’ Ash rounded, following on Garren's heels, their group of cheebs flocking around them as they started making it down the hill. Halfway down they crossed the tree line, finally breaking out of Siniad’s forest.
