Ash gasped and pulled his mind back. The bubble he had formed into his eye popped, and he fell forward from his crouch onto his hands and knees.
Move.
Before he second guessed it, Ash was running back down the hallway.
Move.
Through the twists and turns, his feet made no sound as he moved stealthily through the curves.
Move.
In little time Ash made it back to the cramped dining room, right now even more filled by Garrens angrily pacing frame.
"I thought I told you to stay here!" Garren advanced on Ash as soon as he emerged from the shadows, poking a tanned finger into his apprentice's chest.
"What did you do?" Garren looked into Ash's wide cat-like eyes and knew he was excited about something. 'Excited, or scared...' Garren looked over Ash's head, back down the dark hall the Leo had come from.
Ash glanced back over his shoulder before smiling up at his master. Ash grabbed the finger still poked his chest.
"C'mon Garren, let's sit back down."
