The one large orb the Virgo had been using was now split into 12 smaller, much more dim orbs. The orbs circled the pillow the young Sagittarius lay on. He was on his back, smiling up at the Virgo towering over him.
Ash could see the lips of the cheeb moving, but celestial eyes don't transfer sound and even with Ash's keen ears, the walls were made of such a dense woody material he wasn't able to eavesdrop.
Instead, Ash was only able to watch as the Virgo waved her arms in incantations he did not recognize. As she cast her spell, her orbs shining yellow like the sun flickered and slowly turned to blue.
At first, Ash had been watching the Virgo, the one casting the spell. Ash snapped his eye to look at the cheeb, hoping he wasn't too late to see the effects.
It was so subtle, Ash didn't notice at first. But right before his eye, Ash watched as the cheeb's orangey skin became more vibrant and maroon. The gems above his eyes shining iridescently in the blue light grew full of color and vibrancy.
The cheeb seemed to laugh at something the Virgo said, his eyes squinting and his mouth opening in a wide goofy grin. As Ash continued to watch the strange scene unfold when suddenly the cheeb grew pointed ears out of his mass of black hair.
Ash kept his eye watching, but his mind wasn't in the room anymore- his mind was reeling.
What did she do to him?
What does that mean?
Is he-
Ash's thoughts trailed off and his mind was brought back into the eye. The Virgo had turned where she stood, the orbs now back as one and blazing behind here. Even in the shadows, however, Ash could make out her faceted black eyes, looking right back through his celestial one.
