Deep in the jungle, where vines hang from trees,
And adventure lies waiting inside mysteries,
And you scarcely can breath through the warm humid breeze,
Two old cities rot, like disease.
These two cities they, when devoid of their haze,
Were the booming new venture that filled with upraise,
And the people they came, and indeed spent some days,
In either two cities, and then went their ways.
There never were people who stayed in the lands.
Quite indeed, they were cities filled up to the hands
In a number of tourists and visitors who
Would stay in the haze for a weekend or two
and then leave just like that with brand new things to do.
And there never were jobs in the towns, frankly there
Were no people who'd stay, so no jobs were prepared,
So instead they made money, for people would pay
to go "come here and visit, but surely not stay"
And they made quite a large sum of money that way.
Since the income was large, both the cities agreed
That they'd share in the cash, which could lower their greed,
And indeed they had shared, till some strange fateful day
When a visitor entered one town...and he stayed!
Yes its true, and although it might be frowned upon,
(Since the standard insisted he'd surely be gone)
He had bought a small home and he made a small store
And insisted he'd stay in that home, evermore!
Now, the man needed food, which they could not provide,
So the man simply started a farm on the side,
And he sold lots of food to the people outside,
And a lovely nice lady he then made his bride.
And they then both had kids. Now, the kids would grow old,
And they then should seek jobs, if they would fit the mold,
So the city who housed them, it knew this was true,
So it quickly created some for them to do.
There were now several jobs in just one city, so
Not to be outdone by the old 'City A' though,
The other city (who we'll call City B)
made some jobs for themselves, as a quick guarantee
That the other city would NOT make more money.
And the people who visited saw all these jobs,
and decided they'd try them. What are the odds?
And there suddenly now in the cities became
Quite a much larger business than the previous game.
So one day City A said to old City B,
"We've decided we're keeping all of our money
and in all honesty, we should duly decree,
That you all should just do now, the same thing to me!"
So then B said said to A "We were just gonna say,
That we (Here in B) would do that anyway,
But our only request is that some coming day,
That you let us come and take our money away.
City A was appalled, and remarked with attack,
"You think you can have all your old many back?
Why, you gave us that money, that money is ours,
And besides, it's been used building roadways and cars!"
City B: "What you gave us was similarly
Used on cars and the sort that I made just for me,
But since you won't repay us on all we gave you,
I think that I've know just what we will all do,
And we won't a single small penny to YOU."
(And they held up the claim, proving it true.)
So the cities went on side by side in the haze,
Year by year, they expanded, with each coming day,
Which encouraged more people to come in and stay,
(Which encourage more people to come, by the way)
Then one day, City A said, "You know, it is true,
That I doubt I am very much happy with you.
City B, since we gave that money, we say,
That you let us come back now and take it away."
City B said "Oh surely, but all that we ask,
Is that you, like we wish to, will soon come to task
And allow us our money that we gave to you,
And we will allow you, OUR money, it's true."
City A disagreed, and so too City B,
And they disgree disagree disagree,
Until then City A said to old City B
That they'd promptly use force to take back their money.
City B said to A, that if they act that way,
City B will react on the very same day,
And they'd also use force and attack City A.
But this claim didn't work to push them away.
Pretty soon, City A went to raid City B,
In response City B sent their military.
City A saw them come, so they sent their guns too,
But reacted too late to the B-Soldiers who,
Took many A-lives, although left emptyhanded,
As response to an order that B had commanded.
Some bloodshed was had, and some money was lost,
But to both city homes, that was simply the cost,
For the money they'd given the others was THEIR's,
And nothing could stop them from doing what's "fair".
So the two cities, war hungry, fought to the teeth,
After battle and battle for their old money,
Until finally B took a look at it's streets,
And it saw all the terror they brought to their seats.
All the people who lived in the City, B thought,
Were somehow the only thing B had forgot.
And they quickly were leaving, for many were scared,
Of the very same terror that first brought them there,
For they came seeking refuge from places of terror.
City B, suddenly feeling guilty, proclaimed,
That they no longer wanted to war with old A.
But A thought a trick, so they slyly agreed,
With what they thought was simply a trick from old B.
But then some day, soon after, City A sent attacks,
And old B did not have any force to fight back,
For they softly had had their attack force dropped, when
They did not have the strength to attack with just men.
City B was afraid of just losing, so they,
sent a bomb to obliterate old City A.
And old A saw it coming, so very quickly,
Sent to a bomb to obliterate old City B.
City B saw it coming, and the fear was so great,
That they told all the people to evacuate.
City A did the same, but it soon was too late.
A and B were destroyed, from their mutual hate.
Soon the Haze from the cities would soften, they say
And made room for the jungle to swarm City A,
And perhaps in a way that could not be prepared,
To B, that jungle was the first thing they shared.
