Phew! I can't believe it's been a whole year since I last posted. Such a massive amount has happened since then, it's weird to think about it.
First, I went full time with my design job (I had been balancing it with freelancing, hoping that would leave me time for The Firelight Isle, but finding that it was too unpredictable a setup to rely on).
So, me and my partner, Kate decided to buy our own place and move further north to a much cheaper area so we had extra funds to use on our own projects.
Then, the house buying process took so long that we ended up without a place to live and stayed round friends houses for over a month!
Finally, eventually, last month, we moved into our new place!
Since then, I've made structured time for The Firelight Isle again, and the good news is that I've been able to carve out more time than ever... I've done more work on it in the last month than I managed in the whole previous year!
I've built this situation around being able to work on this project, and any other future project I start on, so I'm excited to keep up a steady stream of new episodes.
I can't say yet how long each will take, but the most important thing is the stability and predictability I have now :)
See you soon (hopefully), and, as ever, if you'd like to help this happen faster, please join my Patrons in supporting the project on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/paulduffield
EDIT: Arg, anyone know how to update the episode title? I forgot to add the Ribbon number.
A tale of coming of age and cultural discovery in a civilisation guarded by a mysterious religion. Sen and Anlil are childhood friends about to be parted as they undergo the trials of adulthood...
