-Sigh-
It was finally over. This four hour course will be the death of me one day. Sulking and slouching in my chair, I heard a giggle from my left. I glanced over to see Kian’s face in mid-giggle, and then he suddenly cupped a closed hand over his mouth.
“Ha ha ha, stop laughing at me, just to let you know this is a real problem! And DO NOT TALK ABOUT this morning’s incident!” I told him in a straight voice. But right after I said that, he burst out in a full laughing attack.
“Ughh! Stop it! You’re so mean!”
After about a good half a minute, he finally caught himself from his laughing fit. “Oh WOW! I thought I was going to run out of air and die!” He said, while leading against the window behind him. “You know what Yuca, your problem is a problem… for ONLY YOU!” He smirked. “How can you always almost make it to class, but never actually make it on time? And this morning you…”
“STOP! Don’t you say another word. You’ll never understand me!” I said with an angry scrunched-up face as I stuck out my tongue.
Kian smiled and jokingly said, “Yeah, yeah. I never will. Well, since class is out and we don’t have any other classes to attend to today, let’s go get Symphony and head to our favorite place!” I just got up from my desk, threw my bag over my shoulder, looked at him and hmph! Then I walked towards the classroom door, leaving him behind.

Sliding the door to the classroom just three doors over from my classroom, I called out “Symphony! Are you ready to go? We’re going to that place.”
A girl from the further side of the classroom hopped up. It was Symphony, my other best friend and also childhood friend who is like a sister to me and Kian. She’s medium-height with long black hair. Her hair today is all tied up to the front right side, being in a side ponytail. She definitely stands out from most of the girls in our class year. She has a pretty face and a toned, fit body structure due to her also being very active in sports, mainly track and field. She has a very outgoing, fun, and easy-to-get-along-with type of personality, similar to Kian. Meaning just about everyone enjoys her company and admires her nice looks.
I’ve also known her since my childhood days. Kian, Symphony, and I were always together. Those two sometimes just seem like they’re from a different world than mine. From the three of us, they grab so much attention… and I’m just here. But I try not to think about it because we always stick together. We’ll always catch the attention of each other, so nothing like that ever seriously bothered me.
Looking towards the classroom door where I stood, Symphony smiled and said in a joyful tone, “I’m just about ready. Is Kian not with you?” I glanced behind me to see him rushing right out of our classroom. “He’s a snail when it comes to packing up his stuff, you know” She gave a small giggle and continued packing up herself.
Kian appeared at my side just ten seconds later. “You didn’t have to leave me like that.” He pouted. I turned my back to him, just in time to see Symphony come to the door to meet us.
She looked at us and asked “What’s wrong with you two? Ha ha, did he make fun of you again?” This time, I pouted “Yeah, but he was extra mean this time!”
Symphony thought of a quick solution to calm the heat. “Why don’t you have Kian treat you to anything on the menu at that place today?”My eyes gleamed, “You’re brilliant! That would totally make me feel better and forget this whole situation ever happened!” I spun back to face him with a “pretty please” expression on my face.
He sighed, “Fine! With that place being offered to Yuca for free food, I will never win. Let’s get a move on then!”
