"Sugar Guzzler" is a derogatory term for Distharpians raised on the islands. Specifically islands considered shared territory between America and Distharpia. After the war, Distharpia could only farm on the islands that formed in the aftermath. One of their main exports was sugar. Not only were their problems with who had the rights to these islands, but Distharpia's sugar-exports conflicted with the interests of many of America's. In the end, to prevent the war from starting up again, the Distharpian government agreed to share the territory and the profits from exporting sugar from there.
