Furious I tried to jump out of her arms when her grip only tightened on me I resulted in hitting her instead.
"You really do not want to test my patience darling" she sighed with an expression of a mother telling off her child.
I considered her warning and went still as we flitted across the Huntington's castle grounds and to the front entrance.
With a flick of her wrist, the castle doors opened and a draft blew through the doors.
When we had gotten inside and the doors closed behind us she set me gently down on the marble floor.
I was annoyed, hungry, tired and not to mention a hell of a lot scared. So I didn't need the extra anxiety of a pretty girl flirting with me.
I turned around and came face to face with her she was staring at me intensely.
But I was not intimidating I had gone through a hell of a lot in the past 24 hours and was not about to back down.
"Tell me why you brought me here," I asked sternly.
I would not let myself be distracted by her soft eyes or beautiful face not to mention her silky hai- OH NO not today Satan!
Embarrassed by my thoughts I turned away from her.
"I can see your blushing" She purred.
"Um... I am not'' I said my voice sounding a bit too shaky to be convincing.
She walked up behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder. I instantly stiffened at the touch of her hand.
"That was your first kiss wasn't it" she whispered in my ear.
I could feel her breath on my neck and the sensation left tingles down my spine.
"That's none of your business stop play games and tell me what you want" I snapped.
She looked like I had just slapped her across the face for an instant until she regained her composure and the smug smirk was back on her face.
"Oh, my where have my manners gone allow me to introduce myself," she said as she bowed gracefully.
"My name is Lilith Huntington and I was once your sister," She said.
My eyes went wide when she uttered the name, Huntington. The Huntington's were once a wealthy aristocratic family that resided in Eden them and the Northwood's were to thank for the existence of the very town as their money helped build it. However, the two families hated each other and in the end, it resulted in the death of a child and her servant mother. The two families migrated to across Europe from each other and not one wealthy family had lived here since.
"Huntington?" I asked her confused.
"mmm..." She nodded her head in agreement.
"But why did you come back and what's this whole sister thing about?" I said.
"Well, the short answer is I came back for you and the sister thing well it's complicated... all I can say don't worry were technically not related anymore" Lilith said as she blew me a kiss.
"But but you kissed me isn't that incest?" I gasped horrified.
Her brows furrowed in concentration.
"No, it's not like I said were not anymore. Look I don't have a lot of time to answer your questions we just need to get this over and done with so you can't be safe sweetheart".
Shaking my head in frustration I tried to comprehend what she was saying to me but I just couldn't connect the dots.
I tried to push her away as her grip on my shoulder suddenly became vice like and I felt my blood go ice cold.
I turned my head as she brushed my red hair off my neck.
Her eyes had taken on a crimson hue glowing iridescently in the dark entrance room.
My instincts told me I was in grave danger but my body was held in place by Lilith's strong hold on my body.
I started to scream as she opened her mouth slightly and revealed pristine white fangs almost needle like in the way they were pointed.
"Don't worry this won't her a bit" She laughed sadistically as she lowered the fangs into the flesh of my neck.
I couldn't contain my horror as I started to see black spots blurring my vision.
This is it I thought to myself not even feeling pain as I felt the warm liquid of my blood run down my neck.
I lived a good life so far short but good there were many things I had wanted to do and see but I guess that chance is gone now at least I can join my mother where ever she is now I thought as I surrendered myself into the void beneath my eyelids.
The next thing I felt was a pleasantly warm sensation that seemed to spread around my body.
I opened my eyes to the morning sunshine a saw I was lying in a bed with a patchwork quilt on top of me.
I abruptly sat up remembering what had happened only moments before.
Yesterday I had almost drowned, was attacked by Isaac and not to mention my mum has been murdered.
At that last thought, I cried and screamed as loud as I could until I was too physically drained to cry anymore and my eyes were sore and itchy.
I suddenly remembered that Lilith had bitten me on the neck! Was she a vampire? No those don't exist I tried to reason with myself. But after all the crazy things that had happened, it wasn't such a far stretch to believe in the supernatural.
I could feel my sanity slipping away so I decided to distract myself and assess my situation now.
My blood-stained school dress had been replaced by grey flannel pyjamas and yep my neck had been bandaged.
I was also in a small circular room with a one small window looking out into the gardens of the castle. The window was too small to climb through and had golden metal bars across it not to mention the fact that judging from how far below the garden was I was in one of the high towers of the castle.
A small bed was in the centre of the room and a bedside table and rocking chair were placed next to it.
I tried to find some sort of exit or entrance but there was none until I felt the plush rug beneath my feet. Maybe there must be a trap door under it I pondered.
Sure, enough when I looked under the rug there was a metal square on the floor with a latch on it.
It was locked of course.
With no way, out I sat back on the bed alone with my thoughts.
I sighed heavily. How was I going to get out of this situation?
