Okay, since it might be confusing, but, he was kinda left alone, parents and his sister disappeared, he remained to stay at the home all those years. Ike, father of Pike kept coming to him every day or every few day as he could to look at how the child is coping alone. Pike always spent time with him there, but Loren never left his home, only to go hunting. His home is in the middle of the forest.
So this is his first time coming into the city, where Pike lives at.
