Holden blinked. "What was that?" he asked, stars wandering through his vision. He shook them away, looking again into Nae's wide brown eyes. Nae waved his hand, clad in a golden gauntlet. It caught the light and seemed to shine throughout the hall, glinting in Holden's eyes and making him squint.
"Oh, sorry, sorry..." Nae tucked his gauntlet-ed hand back inside his shimmering robes. "It really does get quite unruly sometimes. I mean, other times it's so so sweet to me , and obeys my every whim. But other times it's-blech" Nae dragged his thumb across his throat and stuck his tongue out of his mouth, crossing his eyes. Once he resumed his normal stature, he giggled like a little schoolgirl. This was a little odd, coming from an at-least-six-foot-tall grown man. Holden didn't care, though. This guy was adorable and funny. Also hot. Like, really hot. Anyways,
"I really can't stand the thing sometimes, it truly is an annoying little bugge- oh, excuse my language." Nae said, blushing. Holden couldn't help it. He laughed. How was he this comfortable with some golden-human-guy he just met? "Anyway, Mother Nature told me to do something with it... to him, right?" Nae asked, turning to the patient guards. They looked at each other, then one came forward and whispered something into Nae's ear. "Oh! Oh yes, that's it. Now, Holden" he said, turning back to his new friend. "I'm being given the task to give your memories back." He gestured to his shining gold hand and smiled. "See, Mother wants to make sure you know what you're talking about before she discusses this, um, topic with you." He smiled nervously. Nae held onto Holden with his normal sunshine-and-honey hand and led him to a nearby... was that a fainting couch? Jesus, what kind of castle had fainting couches every twenty feet? The kind of castle Holden never wanted to leave. He pouted thinking about leaving this sweet Nae character. Speaking of, Nae intertwined his fingers with Holden's as they sat down, shooing away the guards with his free hand. He smiled.
"You may want to lie down, darling." Not being able to resist those big brown eyes, Holden did as he was told, desperately clinging to Nae's warm and oddly soft hand. Nae gave a sad smile. "I hate for you to leave so soon. You truly are quite fun." Nae said, freeing his hand from Holden's grasp and instead stroking his cheek. "I'll miss you, darling." His dismal eyes felt piercing as he leaned closer, placing his gauntleted hand on Holden's chest. "Good luck." He felt Nae's warm lips on his forehead and closed his eyes. His last thought before the darkness echoed in his mind. I'm pretty sure I'm gay now.
