Sylvia
"Sorry I'm late, Keil," Sylvia apologized as she entered.
It had been a long day back at the manor, with no opportunity for her to slip away from the house to gather herbs until now. With a grunt she heard Keil sit himself up to look at her.
"Suga yates ne ore?" (What took so long?) he inquired curiously.
Sylvia assumed by his worried expression that he was asking about her delay, so she answered, knowing he wouldn't understand the whole of it.
"My work ran late today because one of the other servants came down with a fever," she rambled.
Keil watched her talking intently, trying to understand the meaning of all her words. He seemed to grasp her concept of delay, but not all of the details, which looked to be frustrating him.
"There is no need to get so upset!" Sylvia laughed.
Then she let out a long yawn, the day's exhaustion suddenly hitting her. It was almost sundown, and she was desperate to get some decent rest, but Keil still needed his bandages cleaned and changed before she could retire for the night. At least he was healing nicely. Heck, he might even be able to start walking soon! Then she could be done with all this work and worrying…
"Okay, lay back down now," she said, motioning to the makeshift bed.
Keil gazed at her for a moment, examining her tone and expression seriously. He slowly shook his head and reached his hand towards her, gesturing for her to give him the cleaning utensils. Sylvia scoffed with amusement at his display and tried to push past him, but he clenched his jaw with determination and glared at her stubbornly, refusing to let her come any closer. She frowned and reluctantly handed him the materials to mend his own bandages.
"Fine, see how far you get by yourself," she mumbled.
Keil looked somewhat triumphant at her surrender, and immediately began fumbling with the cleaning rags and cleaning utensils. Sylvia yawned again and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, wondering how long it would take him to either be successful or give up on the venture. Either way, she had to wait and find out.
Keil hissed something under his breath, looking quite frustrated as he worked. She nearly laughed when his shabby wraps came undone because of his moving a bit too swiftly. He mumbled more rough sounding words under his breath as he tried the job again, determined to successfully do it on his own.
Sylvia let out another yawn and leaned against the burrow's wall. She really wanted him to get this over with so she could go home…
