The artist didn't know how viewing season worked in Reality, but looking upon the unusual sakura, a smile seemed to appear, the first in a while.
"Strange.... I didn't actually think it would consume her like this. Then again, I gave her the flower in the first place...
...this death should've been mine, Hana.
But then again, death is meaningless to me at the moment. I'm somehow satisfied with life at the moment. How amusing.
I wonder how long that will last...
...of course I don't expect an answer."
At least the artist had a private flower viewing before vanishing with the fleeting spring.

In Japan, flower viewing season for cherry blossoms occurs in April, but only lasts for two weeks. The cherry blossoms start blooming from the West, then gradually make their way East.
Flower viewings normally involve people eating under the trees to admire the flowers. Drinking is also involved, and there are sakura-themed treats made to celebrate as well.
This episode reference to Episode 1, Hana[su] and Sakura, where the flower was covering most of the girl's face (remember where cherry blossoms are said to get their color?). However, this drawing was made prior to that episode.
