For an information-only chapter, this does everything right. You must have a 5th grader on staff asking all the questions I am asking because you are answering them. And the startling info is holding my attention without fisticuffs.
It shows your knowledge of riding animals that they need a rest every now and again. And these characters are just as interested in each other's world as I am. None of the information feels like the author is just talking to the audience.
And if they have to stand still a while, the beautiful landscapes and fan service with beautiful women and men makes the chapter as visually exciting as a fight scene.
Also, it was nice to see Ronin not listening in on the men's conversation. She speaks with her own voice, not just knowing and saying whatever is convenient for the author. She feels like a real person.
My only worry is: Everybody has informed us that Ronin is one of the most powerful people in the universe. She has a reputation across two galaxies to make or break.
In a war for mankind's survival, the most powerful special forces crew in human history just went rogue. Heroes for Ghosts is a sci-fi adventure by creator Michael Hayden
