Hi guys, the Pirate Balthasar starts off as one of those ridiculous comedy nobody would ever take seriously - and you shouldn't.
As the story progresses you will come to realize there is more to the characters and the story than just the silly, flamboyant, premise... and things are not what they seem.
This is one of those things that starts off campy - like the Princess Bride - and then ends up describing the condition of women in the XVII century and how certain categories of people (slaves, Jews, Huguenots) lived at the edge of society.

Volume 1 of the Pirate Balthasar containes 4 chapter of about 45 pages each (except for chapter two which is 29 pages in length).

Wilson Kane wins a fortune and his future bride at a game of dice from the former pirate Balthasar. When he decides to go and get the girl, the pirate way, by kidnapping her, not only he finds out that she is more than a pirate could ever want from a wife... but that she has 4 identical sisters as well.
