Before you lot say anything, yes I've been holding onto this for some time, but for good reason....I needed something to post while I was away.

Iris, she's a complicated demon.
Born before the great nightmare war, Iris was a mother, a wife. She worked for the seven gates, hell's knighthood. She was brought on to purify tainted souls led on by corrupted demons and angels. She was good at her job, along with that she was also a strong fighter, but she rarely got into combat as she preferred to resolve conflict peacefully.

Her husband Henry was a local chef for the castle of Satan. They met when she joined the knights and quickly fell in love. Soon after they had a baby girl and were recognized as mates ( soulmate are bonded demons, to separate should mean eternal loss) after a while Iris and the other knights noticed an increase in nightmares, strange immortal beasts immune to weapons and magic. The influx soon grew out of control eventually consuming villages and corrupting both angels and demons. Iris and her team were dispatched to prevent the spread but misty of her squad were quickly consumed putt killed. It was during this battle that she lost both her husband and her daughter.

After the war ended and the overworld was given to the humans to tend, Iris left the seven gates and created the nursery, a place where young souls could bee protected by the taint of corruption. She allowed the building to blend with time, meaning it never looked out of place.
