...That's a bit of a niche one. But yes, my first encounter with cyberpunk was through The Matrix...and not even the first film. It was Reloaded! My tiny mind was blown when it came out and i ended up going back and watching the first one and having my tiny mind blown even more.

Each person's intro is different in its way and that's good - personally, it makes me very happy to hear of people whose first encounter with cyberpunk WASN'T through neuromancer... love the book, but It's already old enough to have blown the tiny mind of many people's PARENTS nowadays. Changes and additions show a genre that's alive and well.
