I have many many friends who have endured or are enduring some big storms in life.
I drew this is a meditation on looking back over my own massive trials and the scars they've caused.
The skies are clear now. I don't trust it but I don't have to. All I have to do is drink in the sight of a world washed clean, every blade of grass and every stone glistening in the bright sunshine. I've come out stronger. Purified.
This is what we endure the storms for. To gain a brighter, more clear view of ourselves and our world. to gain the knowledge that we can, and will, escape the thorny tangles to fly free another day.
Be strong, loved ones.
If you are in the calm between storms, take the time to understand what it all means to you and what you will do with your current freedom and clarity.
If you are currently tied down, weather beating at your eyes and black clouds overshadowing your heart- take courage. Look ahead. Look behind. Look to moments in which you persevered and look to examples of those who fought in even bigger battles. Take courage from wherever you can and endure the wild winds you are in with faith in the future... faith in yourself.
In the end, we all arrive exactly where we are meant to be.
I have a lot I want to accomplish. But I also have a week old baby. XD
Inktober is my way of keeping the knife sharp. I know people generally do ink drawings only for this, but Imma take what I can get where I can get it. lol. So I will have pencil drawings, color, and digital (gonna lay off the ctrl+z and keep it as "traditional" as possible)
I promised myself... despite sleep deprivation, stress and basically your run-of-the-mill-insanity, one hour a day.. whatever I can do... meh, we will see how it goes XD
