#INKtober Jan Hus Burned at the stake in 1415 for what the Catholic church considered heresy. He believed in the authority of the bible over that of the church. His name in Czech means "goose," and as he was tied to the stake, he made a prediction that in a century someone, "a swan," would rise up and succeed in a reformation of the church. 102 years later, Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the doors of the church in Wittenberg, starting the protestant reformation. #reformation #MartinLuther #comics #illustration #sketchbook #inktober2016
