Born into an ancient and highly religious cult, Cieer Hayden grows up like many other young men and women being trained to take part in a dedicated war. The war that has corrupted the planet since the early times, unseen by humans they fight for the eradication of Ardent- and Black Demons. The Christian cult is referred to as Sanctums amongst themselves, they are found in every corner of the world in various districts, teams and purposes. Whether it be soldiers, trackers, doctors, researchers or officials. Some of them hide themselves and their intentions trough military forces, police, agencies while others are raised as nothing but soldiers who live with their lives constantly on the line.
Cieer Hayden is a twenty-one year old Sanctum and is merely one out of few who's lost something to the infamous Ardent Demon, Occisio, who has taken the title to be the most hunted and merciless specter throughout history. Cieer ends up involved with the fiend when he is finally caught, but when a tragedy occurs he finds himself with his hands tied behind his back and with feelings tearing him in two different directions.
