The lock mechanisms begin to slowly turn, and the bunker door slowly starts to open as if it were being opened by a child. A small hand curls its fingers around the side of the door, pushing the door wider and wider.
Jade takes a defensive stance in front of Twyla, in order to protect her from the intruder. The door continues to slowly swings open to reveal a young imp-like boy with a shaved head.
Jade snaps her head back at Twyla who is also surprised a child is in the bunker. The young boy quickly bolts into the room and pushes the door behind him.
Jade turns and gives Twyla a concerned face.
“Oh dear, where are your parents?” Twyla asked the young boy. The boy turns and looks at the two demonesses and says nothing; he walks behind a stack of wooden crates and starts to push them in front of the door.
Jade turns and looks at Twyla who has a blissful look in her eye. Twyla stands up and starts to help the child. After a few minutes of pushing, the two successfully blocked the door. Twyla gives the boy a cheerful smile, the young boy returns the smile. Upon further examination of the boy, she notices that he has similar qualities as Myrlin and the two appear to be around the same age.
“What's your name, honey?”
The boy scratches the back of his head and shrugs his shoulders.
“You don't have a name, kid?” Jade asked.
The young boy shakes his head as the two demonesses exchange a look of confusion.
“Since you're a kind, young boy,” Twyla states as she picks up the boy. “And because I have a son around your age, I think I'll adopt you, and give you a name! How does that sound?”
“M'Lady! You can't be serious! You don't even know this child!” Jade yells.
Twyla giggles and pats the boy on the head, “Honestly, what's one more child? Besides, she had seven children... And I've already been compared to her...”
The boy looks up and gazes into Twyla's hypnotizing moonlit eyes.
In my homeland, of Jigoku, the Demons tell a tale of our Dear Mother, known as the Mother of Monsters. She harnessed the power of both Chaos and Reality. And amongst her subordinates, there was one that inherited her Chaos. His name was Iniko, and since we met in this chaotic time in my life, I’ll name you Iniko Wyllt... That will be your name from now on...”
The young boy's aura starts to grow dense, and his eyes begin to glow a heavy red.
“That doesn't look good,” Jade remarks.
Twyla rubs and kisses Iniko's forehead before standing to her feet.
“I take it you've never seen an Asura evolve...” Twyla smiles at her child. “Since the Asura are half dragon, they have an evolution tree. After they're named, it'll trigger an evolution, but since we have a habit of naming right after birth, the evolution isn't as noticeable...”
Jade scratches her head in confusion, “Are you not going to give him a middle name?”
“Middle names are a dragon custom, traditionally, Demons only have a given name and family.” Twyla states. She redirects her attention to Iniko “My eldest son's name is Myrlin, and I just know the two of you are going to be close!”
He starts to smile, and Twyla returns the gesture and redirects her attention back to Jade.
“What in the world just happened?” Jade asks herself. “Anyway, M'Lady, how are we supposed to get out of here if you two just blocked our only exit?”
Iniko smacks his forehead.
“This place has a bunch of secret passageways- oh wow, I can talk!” Iniko exclaims.
“Of course, dear, that's my gift to you!” Twyla gives him a warm smile. “It's important that you're able to communicate what you want; it's the only way.”
“Yeah, yeah, enough of that, how are we supposed to escape?”
Iniko points to a small lever on the wall from where the boxes and crates originally sat and pulls it, opening the wall to reveal a dark corridor.
“This is the only way out of this room...” Iniko states pointing down the long hallway. “It leads to a cave entrance not far from the main gates of Avalon... I can lead you there if you want...”
Twyla perks up and looks at Jade with excitement.
“I don't know about this,” Jade said.
Iniko and Twyla both give Jade their best puppy dog faces to seal the deal, and she caves in, much to the latter's amusement.
“I've been in this armory for as long as I can remember; it's really all I know,” Iniko explains. “Those men came here a few weeks ago and took over this place. I stayed hidden and out of their way...”
“And what made you come out of hiding?” Jade asks. “You two did...”
The two exchange a puzzling look.
“I saw how the leader was treating you,” he explains further. “You look like very nice ladies and I don't understand why someone would do something like that...”
“Don't you worry Niko! Your Auntie Jade won't let that happen again,” Jade responds and snaps her attention to Twyla who is also touched by his words.
“Auntie? What's that?”
Jade and Twyla gasp and break into laughter. “We'll talk more about that later, the first thing we must be done will be to leave this dusty old room,” Twyla commands.
Iniko and Jade motion for Twyla to crawl through the passage. The door leading into the room starts to jerk.
“We need to hurry,” Jade whispers looking to Twyla.
Rango continues to tug and pull at the door. “That fucking kid! I'll rip him from the inside out!” Rango hisses. “I ignored you because you stayed out of my way, but this!?! I swear, I'll kill you!!”
Iniko lets a nervous chuckle.
“Let's move, now!” Twyla commands. The trio makes their way into the passageway and Jade closes the door behind them, however, the door doesn't close completely.
Rango manages to break down the door, leaving debris everywhere. He examines the room and sees the cracked cuffs; he starts to kick and thrash in a rage.
“The brat and the two bitches die, tonight,” he spits. Rango grabs his things and makes his way outside the bunker. “Where are Naga and Belinda? They should've been back by now, it's nighttime...”
Crouching down, Rango grabs a handful of dirt and sniffs it. “Something is wrong...”
He takes time to think about the situation he's found himself in. He ponders the information that was initially given to him. My contact told me the carriage would have two demonesses and at least five Asura young. I had the two demons, but the kids weren't there... What's so special about Asuras anyway-? Rango thinks to himself. The Lizardman leader sits on the ground and starts scratching his head. His jaw drops as he realizes he was lured into an elaborate trap; he begins to laugh uncontrollably.
“That white-haired man baited me and my men to our deaths... If that's the case, I'm not going down without a fight,” Rango's eyes begin to burn with passion as he gathers weapons for his attack.
