I struggle to open my eyes, my eye, wait, all I can see is white. I thought to myself.
I look around the room, everything is so fuzzy, where am I? What happened? I continue to ponder. The room has unfamiliar smell to it. It’s very earthy yet sweet.
What was the last thing you can remember? I wondered closing my eyes trying to picture the last few moments of my life before coming to this world.
All I can remember is a truck horn... The memory is too hazy. However, I do remember her... I recalled a beautiful woman with copper colored skin and deep scarlet hair that resembles fire. The woman leans in, reaching her hand out to me. She mouths something, what did she sat again? The memory keeps running from me....
Wait a minute, don’t tell me... I thought, quickly opening my eye and regaining my focus and sense of sight. Did I really die, and was reincarnated in an infant’s body? What...?
I get a sense of my surroundings this must be my dad... He looks freaking badass! And are those? Elf ears?!? I thought to myself, Oh hell yeah! I was born in a world of magic!! I wonder what type of kick- ass ability I’ll get-
“He already responds to the name I've given him... Myrlin...” Twyla, my mother, declares to my father, Chronos.
I look up at my mother as she mentions of my name. My eyes widen upon my very first glance; mesmerized by her beauty. So, this is my mother, geez, she’s breathtaking... What world did I end up in?
At that moment, I instinctually reached up to grab my ears, and to my surprise, I have pointy ears too! But the real question is if my dad is, what I’m assuming is an elf, what does that make my mom? I’ve never come across any creature in any game resembling her. Her appearance is so, Cosmic...
“Then it’s settled, the boy’s name will be Myrlin Samael Wyllt!” Chronos staunchly declares.
So that must be my name... Wait, like The Wizard Merlin?? Hang on, I can understand the language, what’s really going on here? I continue to think. Did it have something to do with that lady...? I can’t dwell on the unknown right now, just be grateful, I’d be at a complete disadvantage if had to learn this world’s language from scratch!
“Lord Second has such an ancient name, but I suppose it fits.” Mother says as she caresses the ringlets in my hair. I can get used to this sort of treatment... My old life was... How was my old life, I can’t remember much about, but I do know that I lived before, all of this... Anyways, no need to worry about it now, opportunities like this one... Don’t come... Everyda-ay...
And in that moment, I fell asleep faster than I’d ever fallen asleep. “He’s so precious...” Twyla states while smiling at her son.
Two Years Later
After time passes, I started to become adventurous; one of my favorite activities is to roam around this super big manor I’ve managed to be born in. I guess I should probably introduce myself; my name is Myrlin S. Wyllt. I am the firstborn son of Chronos M. Wyllt and Twyla Wyllt. Since coming to this world, I’ve learned that I’m in fact not an elf, but an Asura, half dragon, half-demon. To be honest, I prefer this racial combination over the elf race.
I approach two double doors that I’m pretty sure lead to our family library.
“Books...” I squeaked.
Thank goodness I retained the ability to read.
I try to push the doors open, but alas, my stubby little arms can’t make the doors budge an inch.
This blows! I can’t do anything in this ‘Toddler Body’!
A shadow looms over me; I look up and see my mother along with her subordinate Lilac each holding a baby, they were two of my many siblings, Minerva and Monspeed.
“Do you want to listen to a story Myrlin?” My mother asks.
“Books!” I yell out. It kinda sucks that I can’t speak in full sentences yet, but I’ve been managing to get what I want just by saying the bare minimum.
I point toward the double doors.
“He’s so smart! Allow me, M’Lady!” Lilac exclaims.
She opens the door and grabs me by the hand. I do my best to guide Lilac up and down the aisle of the library to find any sort of book about the history of this world. After thirty minutes of searching and not being able to find a book, I started grow fussy.
I know there’s a spell book in this library, but why is it so hard to find?!
I started to sniffle a bit. And to make matters worse, since I’m a toddler, I have no other way to express my frustration except by... I began to cry. This is so embarrassing!
“Awe, don’t cry, MyrMyr. You’ll wake your sister; I think there’s one other place we can look.” Lilac says, trying to comfort me.
She’s so sweet, out of all my mother’s maids, Lilac must be the kindest!
“Books?”
Lilac gives me a gentle smile.
“Yes, books...” she says reassuring me.
Lilac grabs my hand, and we continue down the aisle.
We stumble up my mother, Twyla, sitting with my younger brother Monspeed, who is eager to play with her.
“Myrlin, is this the book you wanted? Come, I want to tell you and your siblings a story.” Twyla says with a beaming smile.
Lilac guides me and my sister to our mother.
“Now, Myrlin, Minerva, and Monspeed, the three of you are more special than you know.” Our mother looks deep into each of our eyes; the sight of my mother always leaves me in awe. I snap out of my daze and regain focus on my quest to find out more about this world.
“Dragonssss...” I yelp, clapping my hands together. This is the story my mother would tell me before I went to bed; apparently, it’s more than just a fairytale.
Twyla and Lilac are taken aback by my words, well, did I say something wrong?
“Why, yes, The Dragoness she was very strong and created everything in this world...”
B.I.N.G.O.! I knew there was a lead somewhere in here, just didn’t expect it to be Mom...
“Mama, Dragonssss book,” look at me, using more than just one word!
Lilac approaches Mom with me in hand and while holing Minerva.
Minerva slowly wakes up and her left ear twitches. She crawls down from Lilac's arms and makes her way to me and Monspeed; the three of us sit in front of our mother so she can tell us the story.
“Long ago, there lived a Dragoness, the First Witch, some called her...”
