As Madam Cladessence twirled her way to the front of “Big Daddy's Barbeque Shack,” the couple eating huge turkey legs glanced at her embroidered dress, crown, and uppidy smile. She looked like she was from another world. The couple snarkily looked at Madam and rolled their eyes to the back of their heads. Madam glanced back at the couple and smiled at them, as they stomped their way down the sidewalk.
Madam Cladessence pulled up her shoulders confidently, lifted her head proudly, and walked through the front doors of the restaurant. The establishment was filled with many people, sitting down at tables with friends and family. They munched on huge plates full of a delicious variety. Madam Cladessence roamed around to the different tables, greeting everyone, waving, and attempting to spark up small conversations. Though, most of the people seemed very uninterested in talking. One woman, wearing blue jeans and a white tee shirt seemed aggravated. She blurted towards Madam Cladessence's direction, “You must be hungry!! Do you wanna eat? The register is over there,” the woman in jeans said as she pointed Madam in direction of the front register.
After approaching the register, the cashier said to Madam, “Hey hey hey! Welcome to Big Daddy's Barbeque, the best food in town! What would you like?”
Madam replied in a sweet voice, “Hello sir! It is very lovely to be here. Have you by chance seen three jackal bears roaming in here?”
“No. We don't have any of that, but we do have fried pigs feet, fresh chicken soup, and alligator barbeque.”
“Well, I'm not looking for any of that.” Madam frowned. She did not know if she would ever see her three orange friends ever again.
“Next in line!”
“Ummm. Where do these friends of yours… the pig, chicken, and alligator hang out at?”
“...In the kitchen.”
“Oh my!” Madam was surprised. Her eyes widened and she took a deep breath, just before a huge plate with a deep fried life-size alligator cooked and grilled to its prime, and glazed with honey barbeque sauce was carried out by a group of chefs. They left the kitchen singing the Happy Birthday song as they served the plate to a family sitting in the middle of the restaurant.
Suddenly, a stomach growled. Madam turned around and noticed a long line of people standing behind her. The line was so long that it extended out the front doors. The standing behind her caught an attitude and spoke to Madam, “Hurry up! We're hungry.” He rolled his eyes, stomped his feet, and crossed his arms as steam fumed from his ears.
Madam could only think of how she missed her family, friends, and the three jackal bears so much. Filled with flashbacks of beautiful memories and now with a frown on her once gleamy face, she walked to a small one-person table in the back of the room and sobbed.
