Madam Cladessence stood in the middle of the street confused. She looked around at the large hanging sounds, cars racing past her, and people laughing loudly on the sidewalk. A moment after she turned her head to get a better view of everything, a man sitting on the passenger side of a car threw a soda can at Madam Cladessence's feet and shouted, “get out of the middle of the street, crazy lady!”
Madam Cladessence shouted back, “...And you should be kind!” Madam did not understand how someone could be so mean and try to ruin her dress. The man's behavior was very odd and unlike the usual kindness she is used to in the Grandiose Kingdom. Moments later, Madam quickly rushed from the middle of the street before a speeding truck almost hit her. She twirled her way to a nearby park, where there were elderly couples reading books, children tossing balls back and forth, and birds flying around. Finally, a scenery of peace, something that she was used to. She also thought that maybe she would find the three jackal bears there, since they love playing so much.
Just as Madam chatted with the birds and spinned her dress through the grass, she heard a crying sound. She followed the sound, and came across a little girl sitting on a bench by the bushes, by herself. Madam asked the girl, “What is wrong, young lady?” The girl replied, “I was kicked out of the game, since I'm not good at playing. I thought they were my friends.”
“There has to be some sort of mistake.”
“No, they don't want me playing ball toss with them, since I'm not very good at catching or tossing.”
“I'm sure that with more practice, you will become much better.”
“You think so?”
“Yes! I definitely know so,” Madam replied. “Now let's go find those friends, and show them a real game.” The girl lifted her head with determination and smiled as Madam Cladessence took her hand. They walked to the open area full of grass, where the other children were tossing the ball back and forth.
One of the other girls in a red shirt asked, “Jasmine, what are you doing here?”
The girl, Jasmine, still holding Madam's hands, looked up at her with certainty.
“We are here to play a game of ball toss,” Madam sternly replied.
“You might be too princess-y to play a sport,” the girl in the red shirt commented. “...But, whatever!”
Madam Cladessence and Jasmine joined the game. From right to left they tossed the balls back and forth. They had their game faces on, as they were filled with determination and might. After an hour of playing under the hot sun, Jasmine and Madam had won the game. They hugged each, proud of their victory. After hugging the other girls and showing great sportsmanship, Madam left the girl to continue playing with her friends. Madam twirled through the grass again and petted the birds, until she became curious, and wanted to explore. She looked past the street and saw the buildings, people, and signs. Everything intrigued her interest. She saw a couple walk out of one of the buildings, eating something that looked interesting. She knew the three jackal bears loved eating so much, so she roamed across the street and headed towards the building.
